My wife and I have stayed here the last 4 times we've gone to NYC. Perfect location for anyone seeing a Broadway show, visiting Central Park, or nearby museums. Subway entrance is just around the corner on the same block. 35 to 45 minutes from LaGuardia via Subway and Q70.
Me and my wife have just came back from a 4nt stay at this hotel, the location is superb. You can see both Times Square and Central Park the moment you step out onto the street. Subways on the corner of the hotel and plenty of cafe and bars close by too. As for the rooms they were modern and spotless. Beds were brilliantly comfy too. We had no problems with lifts and anytime reception was busy the gents in the lobby were more than happy to help. It wasn’t extortionate to stay here and I found it great value for money. I’d happily stay here again and would recommend it too.
This was my second time staying here, and I think it only got better! The location is incredible for midtown - near the theaters and plenty of fine dining! The rooms are so quiet, and spacious for NYC. The front desk (Angela) made check-in so smooth and wonderful! We'll be back again!
We contacted staff to replace the bedding upon arrival. They sent to people right away and resolve the issue. Hotel was clean and all staff were friendly. The snack shop in the lobby was very expensive. Period.
We had a fantastic visit, the hotel location is just amazing, we biked in Central Park, visited the Central Park Zoo, went to the Met, and ate delicious food! We did this on a weekend that had 5 Degree temperatures, but still had a great time.
This hotel is in a great location right between Times Square and Central Park. You can walk to almost any major location and you’re also steps from some major subway trains. The hotel staff was always nice and knowledgeable answering any questions we had. The rooms were always cleaned promptly and perfectly. It’s a great value!
Stayed at Park Central in December for 4 nights. Honestly don't think you could get a better location. Only a few minute walk to Central Park and roughly the same distance to Times Square - meaning you can get right into the thick of it within minutes without having to worry about the excessive road noise at night. Also right outside the hotel are entrances to the subway, so you can really get anywhere with ease. Some of the rooms are slightly more updated than others, but none of them are out of date in my opinion. Especially not for the price. The lobby and bar are both really nice. You may see some people complaining about the elevators - we went in mid december so naturally being an extremely busy time in NY we were worried this could be an issue - it honestly wasnt. I don't think we ever waited for longer than 3 minutes for one and we used them at all times of the day. Plus depending on your floor there are some lesser used elevators on the other side of the lobby that are always quiet - though for our second room we couldn't use these but still had no issues with the main ones. We did have an issue with one of the rooms, but I'm still going with 5 stars because when I spoke to Vito behind the desk he went above and beyond to rectify the issue and also got us moved to another room with a great view without any hassle at all, so that was much appreciated. All in all, if you're looking for a well-priced hotel in a great location I think Park Central fits the bill. We can't wait to come back to NYC and when we do I can't see any reason why we wouldn't stay here again.…
Hotel is perfect for Central Park and Times Square plus less than a minutes walk from the Subway so easy to get to anywhere in NYC! The hotel lobby looks gorgeous when you arrive, however as soon as you step out of the lift to your room you can see it all needs some attention and updating. For example there are handles missing from the cabinets in the corridor and the edges of all the carpets are dirty. The room itself was a good size and the bathroom clean. The carpets again were fraying and looked dirty at the sides plus the clothes drawer fell out as it was broken and nearly landed on my foot! Also the room is a bit dark as there was no main light in the bedroom just 2 table lamps. The safe was broken and there were not enough hangers in the room. This doesn’t sound like a big deal as usually you can just ask for a few more which I did but they never arrived. I also had requested tea/coffee facilities in advance which was an option when booking but there was nothing in the room when we arrived. I asked again but that never arrived either. There is however a great coffee shop in the lobby, so maybe that’s why the hotel prefer you not to have tea/coffee facilities in your room, in which case I would suggest they don’t even offer it as an option as you have no expectations then and to be honest even though it’s about $7 for a coffee when you are on holiday it’s nice to get it made for you! The hotel bar is closed on a Sunday and Monday - this didn’t bother us but just letting others know before they arrive. The bed was very comfortable and overall the room served its purpose just don’t book there expecting luxury. The staff were very nice, but it’s little things that made it just an average stay. In summary - fabulous location, gorgeous lobby, average rooms!…
We eloped to NYC and the hotel were made aware of this months in advance. We have stayed multiple times at this hotel and the lobby area is still impressive. Our room was extremely small and dark and we had no room to hang any wedding dress or suit. It was also filthy dirty. I called reception and they gave us another bigger room but unfortunately it was still as grubby. My husband got a towel and cleaned down the room and the cloth was black after it. Disgusting. I emailed the hotel as reception really didn’t want to know. We haven’t gotten a response and it’s been a week. My family ordered champagne and fruit to the room the morning of the wedding but it arrived when we were out (after midday) and left to get warm on the bed. We arrived back at 5pm to warm champagne (already poured in glasses to get flat) and fruit. Another disappointing oversight. The staff (especially Nancy & John) in the bar couldn’t have been nicer. A credit to the hotel. I feel the $218 “facilities fee” which is charged upon check out is a really sneaky hidden charge and very steep and absolutely not justified. When management read this and comment below, please respond to my email which was sent last Sunday Jan 29th rather then just say you’re disappointed to read the review and will try to “do better”. Do better and respond and maybe offer a gesture of goodwill considering we have spent over €2000 + facilities fee to stay in your hotel.…
This hotel is definitely in the right location to visit NYC. Minutes from both time square and central park. The hotel smelt lovely when you go to.the lobby and throughout. Very clean and the staff are very helpful. Rooms tidy and clean, they are just to sleep in but quite spacious. Would definitely recommend this hotel if your looking for a clean room and central location.
