We visited the Sanctuary Hotel from the UK in November 22. The hotel was fantastic nothing was to much trouble. The hotel was clean the bedrooms comfortable and the staff were amazing. The help we received in sourcing restaurants to eat in and advise with travel around the city was welcomed. On returning to the UK I e-mailed asking about the pillows as they were so comfortable and Eddie (front office supervisor) went beyond the call of duty to try and ship them out to me unfortunately the cost of shipping was more than the pillow. We as a large family we were made welcome and would definitely would recommend the Sanctuary to family & friends.
I had a very pleasant 3 night stay at the Sanctuary. I loved the feel of the lobby and all of the staff were wonderful. My queen deluxe room was quite spacious for one person or a couple and well appointed. There was a complementary breakfast buffet that saved time and money. Minor issue at checkin when my room was not ready and they spontaneously offered to wave the resort fee. Centrally located.
Stayed here 1/13 - 16. Booked 3 rooms for our family. One of our rooms wasn't ready until 2 p.m. (check in at 3,) however they worked diligently to get us in as soon as possible. Hotel is close to all attractions. Rooms are standard for NYC, however, was impressed with how quiet it was at night time. Pillows were a little to soft for my liking, the shower had GREAT water pressure. Breakfast was included - standard for hotel fair. Rooftop restaurant was very good. Would stay again.
I cannot say enough good things about this little hidden gem in NYC..Sandwiched between Rockefeller Center and Times square, the location is idea. It was an easy walk up to Central park and down to Bryant Park and The Empire State Building. The staff was wonderful! Very friendly and very helpful throughout our stay. The hotel was very clean with well appointed (adorable) rooms with very comfortable beds. We loved the rooftop options too. Haven Rooftop was lively with good food and good service. Sushi Lab was outstanding! With above and beyond service and amazing sushi! The cocktails at both restaurants were top notch. A perk of the Sanctuary hotel was the included breakfast. .. also very good. I would definitely stay here again! My only tip is to make reservations for the rooftops well in advance. There was no availability for walk-ups any evenings. We had planned ahead so this did not bother us.…
Where do I start? Our 1st time in New York and this hotel was fantastic. Brilliantly situated. The staff were really helpful and happy. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they made us feel very welcome. A special shout out to the doormen, Ben,Lennon and win. They held the door all the time, made me feel safe whilst I was outside having a cigarette and gave me great tips on subway directions , attractions, places to eat. Just great to have a chit chat with them. They are a credit to the hotel. Breakfast was great and very filling. The rooms were comfortable especially the puffy pillows. Hot drinks by reception made a lovely touch, thank you for that. Very needed after walking for miles every day.Very nicely decorated throughout the hotel. The haven bar looked very pretty although we only toured it as we were exhausted most of the time. In all we were very impressed with our stay and would definitely recommend and return ourselves. …
Central location (but not too noisy), worked really well for a weekend stay of family with two young kids. Extremely responsive, knowledgable, and courteous staff, we were very impressed by Ben, Douglas, and Van for their assistance.
I am so glad that I had the good fortune to stay in this hotel over the Christmas period. The staff were amazing - all of them. Nothing was too much trouble and, as a solo guest, I felt that I was in a safe environment. The hotel is exceptionally clean and well looked after. Literally 2 minutes from the madness of Broadway and 2 minutes from the relative calm of 6th Avenue. Subway stations in close proximity as are bus stops. Theatres a stone's throw away. Restaurants abound, including two within the hotel. I look forward to returning next Christmas!
This property is amazing for it's price. It is accurately rated with helpful, friendly staff, clean rooms and lovely finishes. It has great dining, rooms and corridors. (I find many nice hotels have really nasty or overlooked corridors). The breakfast is mostly cold food, unless you order extra hot food for a cost. But the hotel has free water, tea and coffee downstairs 24/7. I loved the shower, it is huge and water was hot. I didn't have any issues with noise. Plenty of towels. In a good location, I walked easily to saks, Rockefeller, empire state building, times square and more. Just make sure you know the door from photos as the hotel is very subtley labelled and you could walk right by.
This is a small quiet boutique hotel just round the corner from bustling Times Square. Excellent location to all the main sites. It has the additional bonus of a rooftop bar/restaurant serving reasonably priced drinks - based on NY prices ! And good food. An extra bonus is the hotel serves free coffee/water all day. The small breakfast on offer is a welcomed treat to kick start your day. We had a deluxe king and it was small with a very unusual set up of the shower being behind a curtain in the bedroom. Separate small wc. The rooms are dark however they are tastefully decorated. When in NY you are not in your room for long therefore adequate. I must end by saying all staff are very welcoming and the hotel has a laid back feel to it. Housekeeping superb. All in all I would definitely return. Thanks to all at Sanctuary Hotel. 🇺🇸…
This spot is located right in the center of the NYC action. It's waling distance to Times Square, 30 Rock, The Empire State Building and much more. The rooms are great, the upstairs bar has excellent food, and the people that work there can't be beat. Any questions we had was easily and clearly answered. We will definitely be back!!
