I stayed at the Sanctuary Hotel with my boyfriend celebrating his birthday. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful as soon as we walked in the door. We mentioned we were celebrating a birthday and they upgraded us to a king room. The location is just steps away from times square. The rooftop bar was also really nice. There was...

It is also close to a tube station which makes downtown easily accessible. The hotel its self is very well presented, clean and the staff are...

The word sanctuary has several meanings. In this case, I am referring to "anywhere people go for peaceful tranquility or introspection, a place of relaxation after a hectic day of sightseeing, walking for miles on the streets of New York City, Shopping and learning. We would go forward in the mornings with much energy and return later in the day,...

Arrived at the hotel and was warmly greeted by door man who brought us straight inside to reception. We were then given all the information about our breakfast times, where the restaurants was and complementary drinks of coffee, tea, hot chocolate and chilled water in the foyer. Felt this was a nice touch. The reception has a calming feel and...

We stayed here as the last part of our 25th Wedding Anniversary trip (also included San Francisco and Las Vegas) Hotel was excellent, on Times Square and central position. Location is great, staff is very friendly. The bed is soooo comfortable we didn't want to get up. Not a lot of storage in the room but the location is so good we didn't care. We could have stayed in a chain hotel and gotten a bigger room but we preferred the more boutique hotel experience. The free continental breakfast...

I stayed five nights at Sanctuary with my girlfriend and we had the best time. The service and atmosphere was very warm and professional and we felt ourselves very welcome. The location was great, not too noisy even though it's so close to Times Square. The room was small but very cozy and the bed was great. We were upgraded...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
