We generally love Renaissance Inn Hotels, It is supposed to be the premium of the brand. This hotel is shabby, right from the front lobby. The sofas are ripped and OLD. Our bathroom was clean but the headboard and duvet were dirty-The noise in this location is loud and 24/7. We will not book this hotel again.

We wanted to stay in the center of all the attractions and right in the middle of Time Square. The views from the restaurant of this hotel are second to none. Check out the photo attached. The views of Time Square from the Marriott Marquis is a side view, but from the Renaissance, it is squarely facing the square, located...

...You could do a lot worse than the Renaissance. Street level check in and concierge, then up one floor via elevator to the rest of the lobby and the lounge. Walk 25 feet to the elevators to the room floors. Cool, dark decor. Strips of what looked like copper made you feel like you were inside a steamer trunk, or...

Very nice hotel. Great location right in Times Square. Super comfortable bed. Modern bathroom with walk-in shower. 20th floor with minimal street noise. Fast elevators. Restaurant/bar with awesome view of the heart of the square. Close to everything. Unassuming entrance and check-in at street level. The lobby is up a few floors and very modern.

The hotel is centrally located right next to Times Square. Strangely, the very small reception is on the ground floor and you have to catch one lift to get to the lobby on the 3rd floor and then change the life to get to your room. The lifts are slow and inefficient. On Wednesday evening i waited 8 minutes for...

Hotel is in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city. We recently stayed on the 14th floor and we could still hear sirens and cars honking from the street. I can't imagine how loud it is on the lower floors. Therefore, ask for a high floor room when you stay there. They have 26 floors.

This is a nice hotel. The Lobby and common areas are all fantastic. My favorite was the morning breakfast overlooking Times Square, it's very picturesque. The platinum elites get breakfast free and it was pretty good! The rooms are small (what you may expect in Time Square) but it was comfortable and clean. For the price, I'd stay here again.

I stay here every January for work and visit periodically throughout the year. The great customer service that I get from all the employees here, bellmen, front desk, concierge, room services is phenomenal. The hotel is well kept, the rooms for the location are good sizes and the location is great - minutes for soho, minutes from the subway, minutes...

Looking for a great hotel in the heart of Times Square, this Renaissance is a great option with subway stops very nearby, more tourists than you can imagine and loads of great amenities! The restaurant has an amazing view of Times Square and the food is excellent. The gym is great and the front desk staff was top notch!

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
