The Renaissance is absolutely a wonderful place to stay! It's right in the heart on time square which gives you plenty to do. Excellent service, excellent rooms. No complaints. Although a bit expensive your getting what you paid for.

Renaissance Times square is one of the better hotels in NYC, the rooms are larger and more spacious than many of the new hotels and if you are above the 15th floor, you will not hear a peep of the times square crowds. I have stayed at this hotel perhaps 9 times over the past two years and it is... More

I have stayed at this hotel 3 times and it never ceases to amaze. The views are amazing. However the staff are very nice but not sure that there are enough of them for the size of this hotel. The rooms are great - very expensive but the location is simply perfect and the food amazing! I am going back... More

Had a training in a bldg a few minutes away so stayed here because it's convenient. It's a really nice hotel, modern super comfy bed and beautiful bathroom. Not crammed at all considering it's New York. I asked for a new room on the other side and they were very helpful and moved me that same night. It's right on... More

I had previously stayed at the Marriott Marquis and decided to try the Renaissance, figuring it might be more up to date. The check in desk is located in the tiny street level lobby, and just about everything else (concierge, lounge, restaurant) is located in the 3rd floor main lobby. You’ll have to take another elevator from the main lobby... More

Stayed 5 nights and was a great springboard to explore all parts of new york. Small hi-cup regarding the state of our bar fridge , we re-zipped our baggage and were moved to a better room, staff were very apologetic and compensated us with free breakfasts for our stay. (I think Jennifer was her name) The R lounge in upper... More

If you are looking for a hotel slap-bang in the middle of all the action, then the Renaissance Times Square is perfect. As the name suggests, it is right on Times Square, close to all midtown attractions and the theatre district and with easy subway access for exploration further afield. Rooms of a decent size and expected quality, although was... More

Gorgeous hotel! The staff on the ground floor was amazing! The folks in the lobby were not helpful at all. It was easy to access all of the places we wanted to walk to... This place is a great place to stay

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
