We stayed here one night but wish it had been more. Staff was genuinely friendly and helpful and the location can't be beat. The RLounge looks right out on Times Square, but it's peaceful and relaxing. Our room was huge by NYC hotel standards and the bath modern, with a walk in shower to die for!

My husband and I stayed here in June for a weekend. The new upstairs lobby/bar/lounge is BEAUTIFUL. The lounge has huge windows with a gorgeous view of Times Square. The beds are great and you cannot beat the location!! I can't wait to go back to the Renaissance for our next trip to NYC!!!

I have to rate this hotel low because they tried to charge me $58 for valet parking on my final bill. When I checked in they didn't even ask me if I was parking a car (I didn't have a car, I arrived by subway). When I told the front desk staff of the error, they offered no apology or...

Stayed here in June for 1 night and it was amazing. The hotel is just behind the stairs at time's square so is right in the middle of everything. Once you've checked in you need to take a lift up to the lobby and then another lift up to your floor. The room was very clean and had an amazing...

We spent 10 days in this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed every single aspect of it. Our room (superior room) was lovely, very clean great sized bathroom and as expected fascinating views onto time square. There was zero noise pollution from the city that never sleeps. The bar is exquisite with unique views onto the vibrant Time's Square. The staff were...

Stayed here for 4 nights last week. So glad we chose to stay in this hotel. It was clean and tidy. The rooms were large and well looked after. The hotel was a break from the busy streets of Times Sq, couldn't hear any of the noise from the hotel rooms. The concierge (omar) was so helpful, he went out...

Stayed here for a night to see Book of Mormon on Broadway. As a Marriott Rewards member we were able to check in early, we're upgraded to a corner King room. The room was large with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast buffet was delicious and wait staff were very attentive. This hotel deserves the AAA 4 star diamond rating...

Renaissance was a great hotel to stay in if you want to be near Times Square and Broadway. The views from the Rlounge are great, and the lounge is a peaceful escape from the crowds of Times Square. The rooms were large, clean, and very comfortable. Also, the concierge was more than helpful when we had questions, even knowing where...

This is the third time I have stayed here, and is always my first & only choice when staying in New York. When I travel alone, it is ideal for me, as it is central to ALL things.- Times Square, Broadway Theatre,Central Park, etc etc. The rooms may be small to some but I find them just right. This time I had...

I can't comment on the hotel itself as my husband and I didn't stay and only had a meal in the R bar. We went after a recommendation from a friend who had been to New York a few months previously. I reserved a table in advance and mentioned it was our first time in New York. When we arrived...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
