I have to say, this is a first on me. I have just checked into this hotel (booked and paid for online) and was hit with and extra '$30 'facilities charge' on check-in! Funny, I always though that the hotel facilities were usually included in the booking!!? Also, the hotel is very run down.

Ok so it's not the Ritz!! But we had a fab stay. Staff were great and always courteous. Our room was very big and spotless, maid came in every day even on a Sunday and we got fresh towels every day. Decor in the hallway is very dated and could do with a lick of paint and new flooring but...

I had read some good and not so good reviews before booking, but there seemed to be more good so I book it for 4 nights. I found it to be a great place to stay and a fantastic location for Broadway plays and Times Square.

Location is great, just beside Times Square and Radio City. The staff were really helpful, especially Mohammed, Alan, Ray and William! Rooms are standard for New York. Only downside was we arrived at Hotel at 7am and couldn't check in till two (should be 4pm), we were willing to pay extra but rooms were full.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
