Hotel was great. Room was nice with a king size bed and a beautiful view. Perfect location. Walking distance to Central Park, Times Square, Broadway, Rockefeller Plaza and St. Patricks Cathedral. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because the elevators ween't always working. We had to take the service elevator to get to our room. Problem was...

We arrived At the Sheraton on Wednesday 14th September about midday, to be told that rooms weren't ready until 3, which was fair enough! Then to be told that we would have to pay $4 for each piece of luggage to be stored while waiting for our room. First time I've EVER known of that...... During our trip round America,...

Stayed here for business and it was fine, but the hotel is HUGE and somewhat impersonal. I was upgraded to the Club Floor and the Club Lounge was nice and had a great view. The room itself was very good and everything worked. The toiletries are your typical Sheraton quality and the bed was nice and comfortable. The location is...

We were booked into this hotel as SPG fold member using our starpoints for 5 night stay. We knew from the past that this is a rather OLD hotel but they were advertizing totally refurbished rooms so we thought we would give it a try. Other than being in a great location in midtown near Central Park and most of...

Stayed for 3 nights from 31st August and returned to UK on September 3rd. Had previously stayed at the close by Hilton Mid Town on 6th Avenue twice. Both are similar good standard but very big and busy hotels close to 5th Avenue but on balance, the Sheraton's location on the edge of Times Square gets my vote for location.Rooms...

Lovely, fresh room. Very well maintained, clean and had everything we needed as a base. Great location in NYC. Good free wifi in lobby as access in room is very expensive. Staff however could do with learning how to smile! Mr Henry checked us in well on arrival but the rest of the staff we encountered seemed like they really...

This is my go to property when in NYC. It is convenient to my office (a plus) but also the subway if I want to head south to Little Italy or just walk to Times Square and take in the ambiance. For SPG members, you will get access to the club level most likely.

The lobby is really nice but was crazy crowded/busy weekend. I have a PhD and the elevators outsmarted me! So pay attention to how they work. Comfortable bed but bathroom is worn and there was a few black hairs in the bath tub and bathroom that looked like from cleaning person because looked clean otherwise. But still dwelled me out.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

“Our room had A LOT of space around the door, such that bright hallway light illuminated the room. In addition the curtains do not close tightly at the edges so if you like a dark room bring duct tape for the door cracks and push pins for the curtains...or a sleep mask!”

“Club lounge is great if you are platinum or on that floor. Get a room away from the elevators since they are noisy and people will probably congregate out there swearing when they have to wait forever for it to arrive.”
