The Sherry-Netherland is a lovely boutique hotel on the Upper East Side of Manhattan at the southeastern corner of Central Park, diagonally across Fifth Avenue from The Plaza. We spent an unforgettable weekend there with children and grandchildren to commemorate my wife's birthday. The facility itself with its ornate vaulted lobby, and its paneled elevators relocated from the former Vanderbilt...

Heard and read much of this hotel and it took a plunge of faith to stray from The Peninsula. We were not disappointed !!! Staff could not be more friendly and helpful, accommodation spacious and luxurious. Our bathroom was on the small side but extremely well appointed. This is not your regular type of hotel, there is no hustle bustle,...

The Sherry Netherland hotel is luxurious and the staff makes you feel welcome. I stayed in a city view suite that faced 5th avenue and Bergdorf Goodman. The suite was very large, the bed was comfortable and the shower had the best water pressure I've had in a hotel. The elevators are staffed and you get the feeling you are...

We stayed in room 207, the city view suite. Room was clean and bed very comfortable. Nice view of Fifth. The staff were very attentive and respond immediately! 😀 my only issue was the party before us checked out so late we could not get our room until a little after 3pm. This has no reflection on the staff as...

Best hotel anywhere by FAR... period. There isn't one single thing they don't do better than everyone else in the entire world. World class from top to bottom as they exemplify what all hotels should strive to be. Nobody else even comes close to the Sherry... nobody. Not even just hotels, heck all businesses should learn to not only run...

My husband and I visited the Sherry-Netherland for the first time on August 28th and 29th for our 6th wedding anniversary. We arrived around 1:00 and although our room was not ready yet we were able to do all of the check-in paperwork. Our luggage was graciously stored so we could go out and about while our room was being...

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
