This hotel is a wonderful combination of old world elegance with updated features in the rooms. We especially appreciated the specialized lighting in our room that could be bright or dimmed as needed, large walk-in shower, Nespresso coffee maker with china cups and mini-bar. We also found that every member of the Staff we encountered was helpful and personable. When asked they provided excellent recommendations on local restaurants and made us feel like we were "special guests"!

Part of my family and some friends decided to celebrate New Year's Eve in NYC a couple of weeks ago. We opted to stay at the Soho Grand Hotel, where we have stayed previously. In spite of Covid limitations imposed by the city, the Soho Grand really delivered and enabled us to enjoy a few days of fun and relaxation.

The rooms are very comfortable (it is NY, so space is a premium), bathrooms are great, and the bed/bedding was perfect. We liked having a minibar in the room, and housekeeping service was prompt and discreet. Literally the only "issue" we have with the rooms is that the closet space is tiny. Not a significant deal to us, but maybe an additional dresser in the room could solve that.

The location of the SG is great, with easy walking access to numerous restaurants, great shops, and NY sights.

We also love the lounge at the SG, and on this trip bought tickets to their NYE masquerade party. Turned out ot be a terrific choice, and our whole party thoroughly enjoyed ringing in the new year in this setting. A special thanks to Erbil Murat (Director of Food & Bev at the SG) for arranging all of that !

We will definitely stay at the SG again, and would encourage others to give it a try.

I made two trips to the Soho Grand during the past three months and was so thrilled with the staff: from check-in to housekeeping, each individual with whom I interacted was gracious, accommodating, and genuinely interested in providing me with the home away from home experience! At check-in, I received a room upgrade, and when I asked for extra towels, pillows, and water, someone came up to my room and delivered it all immediately and with a smile. My room was kept spotless, and items, such as extra towels and toiletries were replenished without me having to ask. My bed was comfy and I was able to open my windows for fresh air, which is important for me in a hotel room!

My first stay in this excellent hotel went very smoothly. The staff is outstanding and caters to the business traveler. Bed was comfortable, shades blocked the light, bath amenities were very high-end. Room was immaculate. Diner breakfast was pricey but very tasty. Service in the Diner was impeccable. Location near several major subway lines is a major plus.
Three small issues: The biggest challenge was noise in the hallway. The room door blocks no noise at all. I was awoken at 5am on the first night of my stay by someone talking in a normal voice in the hallway. The person was not shouting. After that, I used noise-canceling headphones to sleep. That should not be necessary for a hotel in this price category. Sound insulation matters.
For $12.95, premium internet should be much stronger. 20MBps was promised; I got 15-16MBps. Service at this level should be included.
Charging $5 for each coffee pod in the room feels like an overcharge. If you put a coffee maker in the room, at least a couple of coffee pods should be complimentary. The combination of upcharges for internet and coffee along with a $34.95 amenity fee (for what??!!) is pretty over the top, to be honest, for a hotel in this price category.

The moment i've arrived in this hotel, i already fall in love with the facade building and the neighborhood. Located in Soho, there were a good pub, good boutiques such as The Real Real, What Goes Around, Re-Bag, Bonpoint and many more within walking distance. If anyone wanted to do a shopping trip in SoHo, you can pick this hotel.

I love the smooth check in process, sadly i forgot the guy who has helped me and however the lighting of the hotel was a lil bit way too dark to create the right ambience, i understand but sometimes it's kind disturbing lol. My room was impeccable, not too big and not too small, i had 2 big luggages and the room can accomodate it. Beautiful view and amazing wall tv screen. What i like the most is probable their mini bar selections very diverse and well curated.

Bathroom was very well designed and i love their shower gel and shampoo. (I decided to give it a go after trusting their taste in the mini bar selections). Unfortunately, i asked for a toothbrush and they said they don't provide free toothbrush in which u must buy one from the mini bar.

The breakfast was amazing, everything tastes so good. Their coffee was good too! However they need to train the staff better, my colleague told me that we can have breakfast downstair so i asked the waiter, how's the mechanism since the breakfast is ala carte and they seemed clueless. Turned out we need breakfast voucher before we order the complimentary breakfast.

Their bar and diner was amazing too, what i like about this place is this place isn't too 'touristy' but still can make a tourist like me satisfied with every details.

Decided to splurge a bit for our post-pandemic trip to NYC and book a terrace room for the weekend and that was the most excellent decision ever. Have stayed at this property many times over the years for work and for fun, I have never been disappointed. The terrace room we were in had a very large very beautiful terrace facing West and we happened to have two days of perfect weather. The bedroom portion is large with a large washroom. And the living room area includes a super comfy couch and chair, as well as small round table and two chairs, so you can enjoy room service. The outdoor patio had comfortable seating, beautiful lighting and greenery, a canopy which made it all-day friendly and lots of space. Service at the hotel was lovely - as always. Great stay!

Lauren, It is very disappointing the experience my wife and I had at your property. Here are the details:

1) I asked three times to get my shower unclogged and it was never fixed. I was there for four nights and every day in the morning I would ask for someone to come up to my room and fix the shower. It was very unpleasant to take showers and have the tub get filled with dirty water as the drains were not working correctly.

2) The waiter in the restaurant was extremely rude to my wife and I. We had issues with him for all four days. On the last day I had a big argument with him because he kept on asking me for a breakfast voucher and I did not have one. I do not understand why he could not simply charge what I ordered to my room or have me pay with a credit card. He was loud and very unwelcoming.

I did not catch his name, but he was a short man with a heavy accent and about 220lb.

3) The bell person that was at the entrance of the hotel on Wednesday April 12 at around 2 PM was extremely rude. He kept asking me how much I was paying for the ride to JFK and was trying to look at my phone. He then tells me that he has been working there for 27 years and that I should not get upset with him. How could I not get upset if he is trying to sell me some bogus JJK ride and trying to look at my phone uninvited?

He then proceeded to take my luggage and threw it unordered in the back of the vehicle that I had reserved. It was a very intimidating situation.

You should really watch the kind of people you have serving there. There are many hotels in NY and with the service you are giving people, one would not come back.

My husband and I were looking forward to a much needed couples weekend in our favorite city! Our first time staying at the SOHO Grand. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the friendliest doorman who quickly unloaded our bags and took our keys to park our car, which if you know parking in NYC, is a huge luxury!
The hotel is understated with luxurious details, a mix of both old world and contemporary design. Just lovely! During the course of our stay, we had a delicious breakfast in their lobby cafe with comfy couches and great people watching. One evening before our night out, we had martinis in their beautiful bar, quite the NY nightlife scene!
Every time we needed to call down for something, it was brought up within minutes.
Their concierge staff is so friendly and very helpful. On our last day, Lonnie came up to help us with our luggage. He is the sweetest most friendliest man! This hotel knows what they are doing in employing first rate staff! Post Covid, this is not the norm in most places. What a amazing way for us to sadly end our stay. I also want to add, that Soho is the BEST neighborhood to stay in. Over the last 25 years, we have stayed all throughout the city. By far, Soho checks all our boxes… great shopping and dining with a great vibe! We can’t wait to come back!!!

I just spent four nights there with my husband and two teenage daughters. We had a double king suite. It was perfect. Usually NYC hotel rooms appear larger online than they do in person - this was just the opposite. Nicely appointed rooms, great view, clean, spacious. The location of the hotel is perfect for walking to so many spots - we easily walked to Tribeca, the West Village, the Highline, WTC, and other areas from here. One of the staff that I do want to highlight is Marcus at the front desk. He was incredibly helpful, professional and friendly. To the management - he's a gem and someone you should help advance through your organization. He knows what hospitality means!

My husband & I stayed here last weekend and what a treat!! From the door man/security guard to the wait staff to the checkout desk all very friendly and accommodating. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. We enjoyed the esthetic of the hotel very much. We had pre dinner cocktails in the Salon, which was gorgeous and the drinks were fantastic. We returned from dinner outside of the hotel and went to the Club Room for cocktails and a live jazz band who were outstanding! We absolutely loved every minute there. The morning of checkout, which isn’t til noon, we enjoyed a boozy brunch with our family at the Soho Diner located inside the hotel. It was delicious, and our waitress was on top of every thing making sure we had what we needed. I really like the amount of security they have at the hotel. The doormen are security guards and on top of everything, your room key needs to be scanned in the elevator to get to the upper floors where the rooms are located and you can’t piggyback off another guests card, each person has to scan to get to their floor. We had a few hours before our train home so we spent that time back in the Salon and enjoyed the beautiful room and conversation with our adult kids before heading out. I was such a pleasurable experience. We usually stay at another hotel as I’m very picky about cleanliness, service & security, well, this is our new go to hotel, it was better than we could have imagined, we absolutely enjoyed our time. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND giving it a try!!!!
