Firstly, I work for a large travel company, so I always ensure my reviews are honest, realistic and as helpful as possible. I stayed at the belvedere for 4 nights November and had a great time. Firstly the location is fantastic, 5 mins from time square, 2 mins from many Hell's Kitchen restaurants, 20 mins to Central Park and 15... More

The customer service here is superb. The location is perfect. The rooms were okay. Nothing extraordinary. The elevators take forever so if you are in a hurry, pad your departure time. Wish our room with a view had a bit more of an actual view but they put us on a lower floor. Not sure the upgrade price was worth... More

Not quite what we expected from this hotel. We were on the 14th floor in a corner room that at first was very nice. Unfortunately, this was a room in need of major updating. You are unable to control the heat (we had none) as the heat is not controlled via thermostat in the room. Air conditioning provided with a... More

The location of this hotel was central to many tourist destinations in New York City. Walking distance to Times Square, many hop on/hop off bus tours and several subway stops. If you are looking for a quiet location, this is not it. The night sounds, including police and fire (half a block away) sirens can wake you of you are... More

Pros: Good sized room with comfortable beds, fast wifi, great kitchen area, small but perfectly fine bathroom. Staff were friendly overall. Hotel location is perfect. Cons: 1) Being guilted into tipping the bellman who brought our 2 small suitcases out of a cupboard (isn't that his job). He stood beside us and glared until we tipped him 2) poor double... More

We booked this room the night before a NCL Cruise. Perfect location. Close to terminal! We walked it with our bags. 3 blocks or so in the am. We arrived by train and after a short cab drive, we were able to drop our bags off at noon. After an afternoon in the city, we checked in. The room was... More

Large room, very comfortable with a bath whilst right in Times Square. Friendly service. Quite noisy from traffic but it is New York! Good location, just away from the bustle. Good safe and plenty of drawers and hangers. Kitchenette in the room was really useful. No kettle or coffee so had to boil water in the microwave.

Exig11, Thank you for staying with us and for this review. I am glad to read that your stay was a good one. I just wanted to mention that we do have a few kettles available for guest use. We do not have much demand for them, however we do stock a couple for when guest's request one. Next time,... More

We stayed here for 5 nights. Check in was good and swift and the welcome was very good. Staff friendly and helpful. We were allocated a 'refurbished ' room in the 14th floor. The room was very spacious and clean but the wash basin was cracked. However that said it didn't detract from the experience. We didn't have breakfast as... More

On entering the hotel the service was very good and reception seemed fine. However when I got to my room on the 11th floor it was like something from the 60's. It was very old fashioned, windows were dirty letting in a draft, very thin sheets in the bed and the toilet was no way up to scratch. We stayed... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
