No complaints or misadventures. Our room was spacious for 4 people to stay in. Nothing really outstanding for or against the hotel. It offered free wifi as you would expect these days. I would stay there again.

I recently stay at the Park Lane Hotel with my husband. We came for just an overnight trip. I must say when I first arrived I thought this review was going to be bad as the wait to check in was very long. Once we finally made it up to the front desk though I was happily surprised to be...

I have stayed at the Park Lane several times, and I enjoy it. The location on Central Park South is the hotel's best feature. The rooms are small, but comfortable. The elevators are very fast, especially compared with other boutique hotels in NY. Be aware when booking that a mandatory "resort fee" will be added to your bill at the...

We stayed here for two nights in March. First the good. The staff at checkin were very friendly and efficient. The room (exec jnr suite with park view) had an amazing view over Central Park and was a reasonable size. Now the bad: The room and whole hotel is very dated and worn as is well overdue a refit. The...

Rooms fair but worn. Unable to get A/C working. The so called Hospitality Reception is totally overcrowded, and not enough seating space for all guests. Staff seems de-motivated and uninterested (with a couple of exception). Deteriorating standards compared with previous visits, and seems to be worse every time I visit. Clearly lack of proper hotel management.

Stayed here annually for more than 5 years. Experience has varied from very good to poor. No serious complaints this year. Rooms are large and clean. Bathroom clean. Noisy fan half way during last night. But room was comfortable. Front desk staff not very pleasant or helpful - this is an annual expectation. No one looks happy working at the...

I have stayed here many times and each time it's worse. I was told that the hotel will be closed, sold, renovated, converted, who knows. It certainly isn't maintained. So if you can get a cheap last minute room maybe it's OK. But don't pay a lot because it's just not worth it. My room this time has noisy heat,...

TIP: The facilities fee is simply a tool for negotiating. It's only reason for its existence is if you have a problem, they will take this off your bill and make it appear as though you're getting a deal. A facilities fee should be incorporated into the price of the room. The Pros: The room was large with a fantastic...

I stayed at this hotel the night before the NYC Half marathon and the location couldn't have been more perfect. It's located right across from Central Park on the South Side and there are subways within walking distance, with one right across the street. I stayed in a Park View room which I recommend. The hotel must have been grand...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
