Parking in New York is an art and a science. Out of towners are best advised to use parking garages. There are several in the neighborhood, but they are not cheap. Otherwise, assuming you can even FIND a spot on a street in the neighborhood, you will have to move your car every weekday morning, competing with residents who know the drill.
