Four of us went to New York for a birthday celebration. We had two rooms (809 and 810) for four nights. The Lombardy is a good value and is a welcoming place. We had searched for large hotel rooms with 2 double or queen beds. These are privately owned condos, which are sold as hotel rooms when the owners are...

We recently stayed at the Lombardy over Memorial Day weekend. There were 4 of us, myself, my husband and our two daughters-10 and 12. We had a one bedroom suite that was beautiful-so spacious, so quiet--really made the weekend as we all got a great night's sleep. We had two queen beds in the bedroom, and a pull out couch...

The Lombardy has n mostly suites for the same price and better quality that most nice hotels in New York, It seems that all of the rooms are privately held apartments, which are rented as hotel rooms when the owners are absent. Big and well kept rooms with a service staff to attend to your every need. The location cannot...

After experiencing expensive hotels with tiny bathrooms with no tubs I decided I liked New York enough to give it another try. I picked the Lombardy not really knowing much about it. The location on 56th street was great, easy to the metro, Central park and Broadway with a less congested feeling. The room a one bed room suite was...

I stayed at the Lombardy for a few days while on a business trip. It is spacious, clean, and located within walking distance of the subway and Park Ave. It was a great place to stay. Our 6 night stay was pleasant and our deluxe King room was spacious with a very comfortable bed. Despite requesting an upper floor room, we were allocated room 207, one floor up from the street and facing the front; double glazing helped with the street noise. But this is New York and New York is a noisy city. The kitchen...

Stayed in room 812. Very quiet at night and incredibly spacious by any standard, let alone Manhattan. Even though the room was on the back side of the hotel, there was good light. Convenient to Rockefeller Center and subway to get around the city. Voucher for coffee and roll at little coffee shop, which can be accessed through the hotel...

I made a reservation on Booking.com specifically at the Lombardy so that I could get two queen beds. When I arrived, there were two beds across from each other (like being in camp). Since I normally sleep in a king, it took me a couple of nights to recognize that these were not queen beds. I liked the Lombardy in...

My daughter and I enjoyed staying at the Lombardy while visiting with relatives also visiting NYC and also staying in the Lombardy in a 2 bedroom apartment. The location is walking distance to Rockefeller Center, the Waldorf Astoria, Fifth Avenue shopping and Central Park. The Lombardy is a good value and is a welcoming place. I recommend.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
