Located on a quiet, tree-lined street off Madison Avenue, The Lowell is in the heart of New York's most exclusive and fashionable Upper East Side. With only 47 individually decorated suites and 27 deluxe rooms, the hotel lavishes its guests with truly personalized service and great attention to detail. Among the many thoughtful touches are complimentary beverages upon arrival, Voss water at turndown and a selection of DDC28 amenities. Most suites have wood-burning fireplace, some have a terrace, and almost all have a fully equipped kitchen. The Pembroke Rooms serves afternoon tea and Sunday brunch. Along this Upper East Side location is a delight for our guests, with elegant boutiques, Fine bistros and restaurants, Central Park and Museum Mile's richness for the eye and spirit.

Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.

Afternoon tea at the Lowell is rated # 1 in NYC which is true! Serene setting, gracious service, excellent selection of teas and wonderful food. Mr. Mohammed (waiter) knowledgeable regarding tea selection. No rush, Mr. Mohammed (excellent service).

This hotel is classic. I've stayed here 4 or 5 times. It's in a very busy area, near the park, but jussst far enough away that it feels quiet. They just redid both of their restaurants, the second I think is a "tea room" and I always respect an old fashioned hotel that's

It was our fourth stay at this hotel and it's becoming a tradition for us. Raid your bank account and upgrade to a deluxe junior suite. We were upgraded to a 1-bedroom on our last visit, and it reminded me a bit of the Carlyle's suites. It was enormous, with a super comfy, yet

We have been to the hotel several times, for tea lunch and also to the bar. The first thing guests encounter is a delightfully perfumed lobby. There is a lovely tea room on the second floor and a small intimate bar next to the lobby. Serving drinks and small plates. The

I know that certain rooms (likely suites) have terraces and those might have a partial or diagonal park view. If you are specifically interested in a Central Park View, I might recommend The Pierre, The Carlyle, or the Four Seasons which have rooms with better views. The Ritz Carlton also has great views from Central Park South.

I'm not sure- but contact the hotel, they are very helpful. Ours was very apartment like with a bedroom, bath, kitchen and living room, for just 2 people. The sofa could have been a pull out, just not sure about that.

In our Specialty Suites; the Manhattan, the Garden, the Lowell and of course our gorgeous two bedroom Penthouse. We also have one Lowell King room on the Penthouse level that has a terrace.
