This is a small intimate hotel with unparalleled service by an accommodating, accessible staff. Excellent location to get around town: easy access to subway, taxis and on foot. Close to Central Park, shopping and museums. The were many "extras" that made the stay at the hotel extra special. I also enjoy the small kitchenette in the room and comfortable room...

Stay at the Lowell. You will love the friendly ambiance and warm style of this hotel. The staff is very special and the hotel is warm and comfortable. Not at all like a cold modern chain hotel. We had high tea and enjoyed the food and two hours of quite talk time.

We loved our 3 night stay at the Lowell. The staff made you feel like they had the Aloha spirit of Hawaii. Nothing like a New York City attitude. They treated us like family and friends. Our room was upgraded to a junior suite which was a lovely surprise. The room was about 600 sq feet with a very comfortable...

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
