You get what you pay for. This was a cheap hotel but located just a couple of blocks from Times Square. For the location alone it is worth it. Having read reviews we were apprehensive about the size and cleanliness, but we're very pleasantly surprised. Very clean, bathroom was a wet rom with huge shower and comfortable bed. We used...

This hotel is all about LOCATION! The staff were always super friendly and helpful, the library was great and the rooms were perfect for 2 people. In a 5 minute walk, you're in Time Square! Everything is within walking distance or just a cab ride away. If you're going to the city to see the sights & just need a...

Ok I have stayed here before, and had the same disappointment then too. How did I end up here again you may ask. Well I book often through Hotwire, and I ended up in this small boutique hotel again. Not impressed with Hotwire on this one as it should not have been billed as a 4*. OK. The entrance is...

The Mansfield boutique hotel is a good address in NY, ideally located between the 5th and 6th avenue, in a quiet street, walking distance from time square, Macy's, Empire State and other curiosities. The rooms are small, but well decorated, more than enough for a trip in NY as you don't spend a lot of time in your room. There...

You should know up front that there is not a coffee machine in the room. Also, our room was extremely dark - windows faced buildings and there wasn’t lighting worth talking about otherwise. The bathroom is tiny, but that’s all old NYC buildings. But it was clean, nice, I really liked the hardwood floors (no icky flat carpeting!) And the...

I found this hotel had everything I needed. The room was not big but as I was travelling alone this was fine. Staff were friendly, Jimmy the doorman was very helpful and informative. There is scaffolding surrounded by this hotel which does mask the beauty. I think this is a permanent feature due to the city inspections. You do tend...

Spent one quick 7 hours at this hotel just to sleep before an early morning meeting. Rooms were difficult to obtain during this period 2 weeks before the Christmas Holiday $275 for a dark, cramped filthy room. Wooden floors were extremely dirty, shower curtain had mildew and looked as if it had not been changed in ages. This is truly...

Stayed two evenings while on a business trip. Rooms are small, but functional and comfortable Key is the main floor which has a very nice bar/restaurant and a library. The construction noise during the night from west 44th could be an issue for some visitors.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
