We came to NY for 4 nights before the school starts. We have three kids so I asked two connecting rooms. When I checked in around 1:00pm, the rooms were not ready but they told me they were able to accommodate two connecting rooms. We went for a lunch and came back around 3:00pm and still the rooms were not...

The St. Regis is a gorgeous hotel with a fabulous location in mid-town right off of 5th Avenue. I had a lovely, elegant room with a beautiful chandelier and a gorgeous marble bathroom with a fabulous shower. The bed was supremely comfortable—great bed linens and wonderful pillows-- and I slept very well. The room was quite large, especially by NYC...

We planned our trip to the St. Regis almost a year ago when our Mom stated that she always wanted to go to New York, stay at the St. Regis and celebrate her 90th birthday in style. Needless to say, we were so excited to stay at this legendary property and cashed in a lifetime of SPG points to make...

Classic and old world charm. Hotel rooms are old fashion and well built. You do not hear a thing from the street, which is very unusual for New York. The personalized butler service and attention to detail is great. Lobby is on the small side, a few of the staff was a bit snobby, over priced restaurant were the reason...

It's the St. Regis. It knows what it is, and it does it well. The rooms are immaculate and gorgeous, the staff incredibly attentive, and the whole atmosphere wrapped in Old New York City glamour. It's in Midtown, which, of course, is a horrible location as its the new Financial District, but the hotel itself can't be beat.

A truly beautiful hotel with superbly decorated antique style rooms. I liked walking in here each day as the lobby is quiet and cosy - you could be walking into a private residence not a hotel which was a nice relief from frenetic outside. The butler service was excellent and again quietly understated - there when you want them and...

I have never been a bite snob but I must say that St. Regis is starting to spoil me. The NY hire is superb and really adds to the stay. Other hotels in NY are so small and the St. Regis revamped its hotel and made all the rooms larger-and nicer. And it shows. Fruit is delivered each night. And...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
