The history and beauty of the Waldorf Astoria NYC go without saying. It is centrally located with Grand Central Station just a few blocks away. Every amenity was provided and the rooms serviced any time it was needed. But what truly stands out is the customer service. At the front desk, Rebecca took care of our every need from check...

This was a dream to stay at this hotel. It is the most luxurious hotel that I have ever stayed at, and it's a shame it closing down so soon, as I would love to stay again. The main lobby area is lovely and a fine centre piece. All staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a deluxe...

Knowing that this landmark building was soon going to undergo major "surgery" made us want to luxuriate in her old world grandeur just one more time. Given the mystery as to what changes are going to transpire , we thought we'd spend New Years with her ! The service remained top notch . It seemed , the staff was trying...

Every time I visited the Waldorf , I checked in with Jackie Grant. Before I would arrive, Jackie and her wonderful customer service attitude would have already selected one of my favorite rooms. I had a few favorites and she would make sure that I would have it. I particularly like the room with a boudoir. I request a featherless...

The Waldorf Astoria is simply a dream. The reason being is the best service ever, it is all about their team members. I have stayed at my second home, Waldorf Astoria NYC, for many years and have been treated like family. If I wasn't there before a certain time, they would call me to see where was I. In an...

Having wanted to visit this iconic and beautiful hotel for many years we were not disappointed. We had a fantastic 7 nights in room 1720 with a great view of Park Avenue. The room was spacious and had the fridge and kettle I had requested. Our room was not ready on check in so we were given drinks vouchers and...

This historical hotel, with many of the largest suites in NYC simply shouts "history!" around every corner of the building. The mosaic tile main entry off Park Avenue, the Big Brass Clock and the knowledge that everyone who has mattered in the US, and the world, for the past 50 years has passed through these doors makes even the smallest...

Definitely an experience not to miss. Such a beautiful place to stay full or period pieces and charm. Excellent service and made our birthday visit to New York an experience to treasure. The room was well presented and beds very comfy.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
