Our suite was very roomy, clean and tasteful. The Waldorf was a wonderful place to relax and be at the end of the day of sightseeing and shows. The Concierge desk was very helpful, answering questions.

Firstly, this trip was a surprise booking for my wife's 30th birthday immediately before Christmas travelling from the UK to both New York and the US for the very first time. As you can imagine, I had to undertake some significant research into hotel selection due to the vast number available to choose from in NYC. My wife has always...

I stayed last week in a tower room. It was very spacious and beautiful. One of the best accommodations I've stayed at. The room was also very quiet, the bed was extremely comfortable, and it was one of the best (powerful) hotel showers ever. Also, the bar and cocktail area is perfect for meetings with folks. Its such a classic...

This was a dream to stay at this hotel. It is the most luxurious hotel that I have ever stayed at, and it's a shame it closing down so soon, as I would love to stay again. The main lobby area is lovely and a fine centre piece. All staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a deluxe...

I could not wait to stay at this hotel given the reputation. While some of the things lived up to promise there were some areas that could be improved. The wait to check in at reception stretched. During the 3 pm check in time there was 1-2 people checking guests in which led to long waits. The king sized room...

I recently had the privilege to stay in the famed Waldorf=Astoria in New York. While i only stayed one night (i am a native New Yorker), the experience was unforgettable. As the hotel will be closing at the end of Feb. 2017 for "renovation," it was important to me to have this experience. I have passed through the hotel and...

Beautiful, tired hotel in a superb location in NYC. Be aware the 3D pix if the rooms do not accurately reflect the room. Restaurant prices are strictly for those on corporate expense accounts. I miss the Waldorf of the 90's.

The name, the place all exude luxury,The reality is this is an old hotel and therefore the room fixtures and fittings are dated. The foyer and reception well staffed although expect to wait. A full breakfast for two people over $110 and a visit to Mcdonalds was needed after .

I was really looking forward to staying here, as part of a trip that I organised months ago, to celebrate my daughter's 21st Birthday. Let's start with the doorman, who was very polite, helped with our luggage out of the taxi, but then told us he didn't come in, and that we had to carry our own cases up a...

We came in for 3 nights to celebrate our anniversary. A bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries were given to us a gift in our room. Nice touch. Staff is wonderful. Room was very nice sorry to see it closing. Very convenient to broadway shows and restaurants.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
