Our four nights here were too few. Classic hotel, beautifully maintained and in as good a location as you could wish in Midtown. Staff was super helpful, including on a rainy evening when the doorman could not hail a cab for us to save our lives. A hotel car (yes, we did pay extra) took us. The driver was super...

We stayed at the Waldorf the first week of April and could not have had a better experience. We traveled with another couple who also ended up having a great time in this Iconic hotel. The lobby area was as grand as advertised and the rest of the Waldorf also exceeded our expectations. We explored all over the hotel including...

Got a brilliant deal online for 4 nights at the Waldorf. Got upgraded on check in to the Waldorf Towers. Every moment of our stay was just perfect, staff were so helpful and the hotel itself is fantastic. Made a 4 day trip to NYC so special. Best hotel I've stayed in.

I often stay at the Waldorf Astoria when visiting and/ or working in the city. The Waldorf has wonderful rooms that are traditionally beautiful. My favorite thing to do there is to have a drink in the lobby bar. The lobby is beautiful and the drinks are excellent. Last night I left my iPad there. After about 10 minutes I...

I stayed at the WA for 7 nights at the end of March. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and also did a tour of the hotel. Fantastic history and fabulous rooms. the clock in the main lobby has images of all US Presidents and Queen Victoria as it was a gift from her. The history and background of the hotel...

Dear Chris L, Thank you for your wonderful review citing comfortable luxury room accommodations & True Waldorf Service! Our historic element, which I think you captured, is often what we are most known for, but these two details mentioned above are such a crucial part of a thoroughly enjoyable Waldorf experience. It is great to note that you were impressed...

In a perfect location and beautiful building, it's dusty and dirty, falling cieling and wallpaper, dirty window, tiny and old furnished bathroom (half bathtube), dark room with few and old lights, rude and nastily. Ridicoulous in 2015 free Wi-Fi only in the lobby and on payment ($49,00/day!) in the rooms, the breakfast it's very average and expensive. Pay attention at...

I stayed here for 8 nights during my recent visit to NY. I was at Waldorf Astoria once before and in my previous stay I was quite happy with the experience. This time, however, I was extremely disappointed, both by the facilities, which I believe are starting to look a bit run down, and by the service. In particular, on...

The Waldorf Astoria is a fixture in New York City for years. While it may have that historic charm that people clamor for, I was deeply disappointed with my stay. Visited yet again for a work related function in the Grand Ballroom with dinner served for 730 people. Had a King Room that was excellent. Drinks with friends in the Bull & Bear in the wee hours always a treat. Expensive yes, worth it, yes.

Dear hutchcraft2, Thank you for your lovely 5-star review! There is an old saying at the Waldorf, "Much more for a little more is true economy, much less for a little less is false economy. Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
