The suites are larger than most home living areas.....2 full sofas, and 2 double beds in the room. The hotel is a beautiful landmark in the city.......a must experience :) Our upgrade was 100.00 from a superior room to the suite.More

Response from Bridget M, Assistant Director of Front Office Operations at Waldorf Astoria New YorkResponded January 14, 2015

Dear Colette04, How excellent that you were able to upgrade your room and enjoy the spaciousness of a Waldorf suite! As veteran Waldorf guests will recognize, many of our rooms have enormous appeal in terms of size, and we are so pleased to read that...More

I had pleasure of staying in the Waldorf last November with my boyfriend and it was worth every penny we saved up to stay there. The room was huge and incredibly comfortable the staff couldn't have been nicer and the atmosphere made the trip. So...More

Dear Laura2068, Thank you so kindly for taking the time to leave us your excellent 5-star review! As you might imagine, a rating such as this one make the review sessions we conduct daily much more rewarding. As you indicated, our spacious suites can be...More

We stayed at the Waldorf Astoria for five nights over New Year, we have never been so disappointed staying at a hotel as we were there. The entrance and lobby do not prepare you for what is upstairs, the rooms are small dated and ours...More

Response from Bridget M, Assistant Director of Front Office Operations at Waldorf Astoria New YorkResponded January 16, 2015

Dear Middleholly, Thank you for taking the time to bring these issues to our attention. There is no excuse for a cleanliness issue in your room, and we abhor the thought that any of our team would conduct a less-than-stellar job. You should have been...More

Stayed from 29th December to 2nd January. The hotel is clean and comfortable, a little dated but that (to me) added to the charm of the place. I travel a lot and tend to find that some of the more 'hip/modern' hotels have little in...More

Response from Bridget M, Assistant Director of Front Office Operations at Waldorf Astoria New YorkResponded January 14, 2015

Dear fitzhamon, It is so very unfortunate to read that the one thing that stood in the way of you reporting a 5-star experience was having a coffee/tea-making facility in the room. This is an amenity we are more than happy to provide for our...More

As a regular NYC visitor we have stayed these days the first time (and definitely the last time) at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel. The disaster started already at our arrival, where nobody has offered us any service to bring our 4 pieces of luggage from...More

Response from Bridget M, Assistant Director of Front Office Operations at Waldorf Astoria New YorkResponded January 16, 2015

Dear GERTraveler, It is an extreme disappointment to read that details of your review. We should have had a doorman in place; it sounds as if you came in through the Park Avenue entrance and with heavy bags our goal is the motor court. Our...More
