The Waldorf epitomizes the 5-Star hotel. Everyone, from the bellmen to the housekeeping staff to the maître de and servers in restaurants to the manager, could not have been more professional, friendly and courteous. One might think that the impressive history of this landmark and the elegance of design (the lobby itself is breathtakingly beautiful) could overwhelm the regular visitor,...

Overall, happily satisfied. The floor and room I stayed in was reasonably refreshed for an older NYC hotel. I selected the Superior category which is one above the lowest selection. The food was great but as expected pricey and service was great.

Went for a quick weekend getaway. I'm. It a huge fan of NYC but wanted to get a refined New York experience while being close to the Lincoln Center for a show. The rooms were larger than I anticipated and the service was magnificent, if a little stuffy. The spa experience with the romance package was quite. I've, with chocolates,...

I have made many forgettable entrances at hotels around the world but my arrival at the Waldorf Astoria in the middle of the United Nations GA meetings in September was certainly the most memorable. With global terrorism dominating agenda, and many of the delegates staying at the hotel, the Waldorf Astoria became, during the few days I stayed there, the...

This was my first visit to the Waldorf, and I was sadly somewhat disappointed despite having high hopes. The Waldorf is an icon of NYC, and I was very excited to see what it would be like. Although I will add a disclaimer, I did book this hotel through hotwire, so I'm sure my room must have been the lowest...

The employees here go out of their way to accommodate guests. All of our requests were fulfilled in a timely fashion and with a smile! Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
