As mentioned great location 5-10 minute walk from Time Square and close to the subway. The rooms were very clean and adequate for our needs. However I did find it very noisey staying across from the police station - but safe!! The cafe next door was very ordinary - give it a miss. There is a great restaurant around the...

This is a good value for the middle class traveler. Stayed there four nigthts in October of 2006 and found the place to be clean and comfortable. The location is excellent, three blocks from Times Square. The little breakfast joint next to the hotel was great. Ate there each morning and read the paper. I'll stay there next time.

We (my husband and I and two teenage sons) stayed here for 8 nights in October. The hotel suited us perfectly. It was clean and comfortable and despite what other people have said the staff were very helpful and we were given extra towels and pillows on request. Our room looked out over the pool so it was relatively quiet...

This hotel is right on 42nd St and it's a five minute walk to Times Square. Crosstown bus stops in front of hotel. Subway is a couple of blocks away and hotel is across the street from the Police Department if that makes you feel safer. The hotel is clean, the staff is helpful and friendly, the rooms are large...

First of all the location is great, it is 5 minute from the time square walking. There is a good restaurant near the hotel in which they have a deal there, we used this deal and ate there alot. The nearest subway is also 4 minutes walking from the hotel. They have a small restaurant inside the hotel which is...

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and we were really happy because we weren't sure what to expect on our budget. I really struggled to find a hotel within our price range and was delighted when i found this one. Good things about hotel were price, spotlessly clean room and bathroom, good shower and very comfortable beds. The...

We have taken 5 or 6 trips to NYC over the last 15 years, and always stay at this hotel. Considering the price, it is a gem. The rooms are not fancy, however, they are a decent size and they are neat and clean. Parking is FREE and there is a swimming pool (outdoor)--2 things that are not common in...

I stayed at this hotel 1 year ago and when I decided to travel to Manhatten this year, I booked the Travel Inn again. You get everything what you need: A big and clean room and a bathroom at a good location. For New York the price is fair. Last year I had an room to the street, which was...

After sifting through many reviews of this property, we decided to book this hotel for two nights, Sept 25-26. We were not disappointed. The room and bathroom were spotless, the beds were quite comfortable, and we were given a room overlooking the pool, as requested. We had booked well in advance of our stay. The A/C worked fine. Immediately next...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
