Wanted a hotel that was safe, clean and somewhat near Times Square. This place fit the bill perfectly. About 6 blocks from TS and across the street from a police substation, the walk was great and we felt safe even at night. The room was...More
We stayed at the Travel Inn for 5 nights in late March, 2007. This was our first trip to NYC, so we really wanted to be downtown close to the action. We chose this hotel based on the good reviews at TripAdvisor and the cost...More
I stayed at the Travel Inn for three nights in late March. There is an awful lot to like about this reasonably priced "hotel", which is really more like a motel that was airlifted from Des Moines and dropped on 42nd Street. There is even...More

This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the
affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

We don't have any homeless people staying in the hotel. We have two buildings. One of these buildings is housing single women with children while they await there permanent housing apartments provided by the city. These individuals are not homeless, they are simply in transition from one apartment to another. All of our guests are occupying rooms located adjacent to this building. If you are still uncomfortable with this, please feel free to contact property directly or your booking agent to modify your reservation. We will be happy to refund anything you have paid. We hope you will choose to stay with us in the fall.
