An interesting mix of interesting and frustrating. For instance, the bathroom had a nice deep tub... with a rectangular stone frame that I kept hitting my shin on; hard enough to cut it and draw blood once. Pushbutton light switches that were flush with the wall. SO COOL to look at, and virtually impossible to find when the lights were out. A kitchenette with a gas range, a tiny refrigerator, and china and silverware, enough for two... and a dishwasher to clean them in. It's almost like this was meant to be a "weekend getaway" room. Plenty of closet space! ... but no dresser. If you hang your underwear on hangars, then you'd have no problem here. The bed: comfortable. The TV: YUGE! The gym: large and full of new equipment. The pool: not large, but big enough (two lanes wide) and filled with *salt* water. Free fruit was provided to get your energy up after exercising. The proprietor's name: on practically everything. Service was uniformly spectacular. Another prime selling point: location, location, location. The joint's on the southern end of Central Park, and virtually on top of the Columbus Circle subway station.…
The location is perfect. Shopping, dinner, the park, and a few blocks from Broadway to enjoy a show. The staff is outstanding. Kind, helpful, always smiling and liked to talk about anything. Everyone from the front desk to housekeeping were amazing. Highly recommend!
The service is incredible and exactly what you would expect from a Trump hotel. The way I am greeted makes me feel like I'm coming home. The special touches and attention to detail are exceptional. The GM is someone you know is the best in the business. I would never think about staying anywhere else when in NY. Never settle!
We like to take the family to Central Park. Shows. Shopping. Rockefeller center and so on. Trump International on Columbus circle is the best location. Multi directional subway. The service is five star. From the doormen to housekeeping. They are extremely accommodating. Helpful and friendly. The units are 1-3 bedroom and if you want o see the Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade it happens right in front of the hotel. We love the Trump hotel and it feels like home
The lady from the breakfast is total Rudy and disrespectful. I pay 4000 a night for come to the breakfast and the attendance treat me bad. Is ridiculous and I spoke with the hotel manager and he try protect her. I AM ON ROOM 1110 - check in dec 1 to Dec 4. Any question call me. ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE. A LOT MONEY FOR PEOPLES TREAT YOU BAD. TRUMP WATCH THIS HOTEL. NICE AND CLEAN BUT CUSTOMER SERVICES IS ZERO ZERO ZERO
Superb service and attention to details. Staff is gracious and friendly. The best place to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade. Will definitely return and recommend for any time of the year as its location is one of the best addresses in Manhattan
The room was spacious, clean and beautiful! The location is perfect. The hotel provided cooking utensils and items to be able for us to cook breakfast every morning. The front desk staff are so warm and welcoming. I stayed for the New York Marathon and it was the perfect location. The marathon ends right across the street in Central Park. The location to the subway was so convenient-getting to the start from the hotel was incredibly easy. After I finished the marathon, the staff cheered all of us that came back. They were simply the best! I cannot wait to come back.
I had business day when at 2AM I noticed that my iPhone had no charge, my charger was not charging. I contacted the front desk and the lady assured me my iphone would be charged and ready by 8AM. Great friendly staff who cares.
Excellent hotel with excellent location , extremely clean & comfortable . Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the guest service and front desk teams, they and concierge make our trip more interesting with their advices & tips about the city, shops, restaurants which are within walking distance. Room was extremely clean and comfortable. My kids also enjoy the heated pool. Would definitely recommend this hotel to everybody! It's a true sample of excellent hospitality. Thanks for everybody who made our short trip unforgettable.
What an experience! We were so pleasantly surprised by this experience. It is clear why this hotel is marked as a 5-stars. A PERSONAL TOUCH We stayed here for two nights after staying at another hotel in another part of town. That previous hotel left a lot to be desired and I knew we were ending our trip on a high note the moment we pulled up to the Trump hotel. Within a minute or so, we were greeted by a friendly face (Thales) who helped us unload our bags from the taxi. We arrived a couple hours prior to check in so I was expecting to have to leave our luggage and walk around but luckily Francis found us a room that was ready to let us get settled in. Shenikwa finished checking us in and kindly walked us to the elevators. The lobby is small and intimate and next door to a Michelin star restaurant if that is your vibe. Or you can treat yourself to room service also comes from aforementioned Michelin star restaurant. We did not partake in this—it’s a been a long time since we have been in NYC so we were eager to eat from places we don’t have in California courtesy of DoorDash and the attaché (Tania) that helped to bring our deliveries up. Moreover, one evening we had trouble calling a taxi to get to dinner with family: Ibrahima saved the day by calling them (on a phone like) and someone was there within minutes. Yes, you can still use Uber/Lyft, but yellow cabs can be a lot easier when you’re in rome. We arrived just in time for dinner thanks to the hotel’s help. The only regret I have is not trying to take the hotel’s town car anywhere. It is a one way drop off within a defined radius in the city. Regerts. LUXURY LIVING Location is everything. In the city, you are never really too far from a subway line but there are some areas that are better than others (IMHO). Normally, I’d opt to stay in Gramercy or Chelsea but what a gem the hotel’s location is on the Upper West Side. You can easily access the red and blue subway lines, and for those craving a step away from the concrete jungle, the hotel is located a few feet from the mouth of Central Park. If you walk further North, the streets calm down more and not too far away is Lincoln Center. It has access to some great brunch locations and a lovely bakery called Bread where I carb-loaded to my heart’s content (for no real reason other than my own pure gluttony and joy in life). Side note: get the spinach/feta pastry warmed up from Bread. You’re welcome. What I like most about the hotel is the discreet nature of the entrance. It’s got access to all the right things but the tucked away entrance feels exclusive in all the right ways; think privacy and discretion. AMENITIES At check in Shenikwa shared with us that the hotel not only had a gym and spa, but a salt water pool that only hotel guests can access. Did I quickly go buy a swimsuit I didn’t need in October? Yes. The spa has a sauna and stream room. The space was tidy and had all the towels I could need. Luckily for me, other guests were more interested in working out than using the spa. Why? There are just some mysteries in this world I cannot explain. But I’ll take it if it means I get the steam room and sauna all to myself. The hotel room itself was very spacious; especially by NYC standards. There were some nice touches to the design; for example conveniently located switches that allowed me to control the lights throughout the room. And while there was construction, the pane windows from the 17th floor helped to drown out a lot of the noise. Lastly, one cool feature about the hotel rooms: they all come with a kitchenette. But maybe my favorite part is the discreet button located by the door that acts as a DND tag. CONCLUSION We are already looking forward to coming back to this property. We loved all the small details of this hotel—especially all the delicious chocolate Cindy left us (and also did turndown service for us—thank you!). What Trump Hotel offers is service at every turn, no matter what your needs are. The friendly faces I encountered (mentioned in this review) are only a few of the names we caught during our stay. Thanks to everyone who made our time at the hotel such a memorable experience!…
