I had not heard of the NYLO when it turned up as a very moderately priced choice on the Upper West Side. It is about 10 blocks north of Lincoln Center, where I was going to the opera, a very pleasant walk in decent weather. The hotel is clean, modern in design (although not over the top). My room was...

We enjoyed a Saturday evening in a king size bedroom that had windows on both sides of the room. Which had beautiful views to look out the windows. Location of hotel was wonderful also. Would definitely recommend Hotel.

Room was OK and location is perfect. I was disapointed by the receipt : I was waiting my suitcase, it was dropped to the hotel on Thursday at 7 PM ... and I received it the day after, and only because I insisted...

The location is really cool, close to important neighborhoods , you can take a beautiful walk down Broadway and end up in Times Square. The hotel service has good, I asked for late checkout and they did help, I asked them for additional water and they didn't hesitate , it was an overall good experience

We stayed for two nights while seeing a show at the Beacon Theater. Great location, not only for the show, but for great eating and sightseeing within walking distance. And very quiet too! Hardly heard the streets at all. I usually stay at Hiltons or Marriotts for points addiction, but I'm so glad we tried this hotel. I much preferred...

NYLO is a great find. Small, comfortable, very clean.Located in residential upper west side. Real neighborhood flavor but so close to the Park, shopping, metro, etc. excellent if you have plenty to do in the city and want a dependable anchor for a great night's sleep .

We enjoyed our stay - the staff were friendly, there's a decent bar and the room was very comfortable. I prefer a hotel which provides its own breakfast area rather than sends you to an attached restaurant. There is a 'resort fee' for which you get practically nothing and you just have to build it in to your costing.

We smoked on the balcony and got blamed for smoking in the room they gave us a warning so we stopped but we ended up still getting charged 250$ extra after we completely stopped. I understand if we were smoking in the room but we never did.

Pros: Basic hotel in a relatively quiet section of upper west side, so it was a great location but as far as the decor goes, it was kind of like sleeping over at IKEA. Cons: Paper thin walls, knew way too much about what my neighbors in the next room were up to 🙄
