Staying one night in NY and went for the most competitive last minute deal. Wellington came up. I had not been here before but is a great location. Hotel is very busy and really packs them in. The room is Tiny, even by NY standards. It was fine for me on my own for one night but would be too...

Bit miffed on the first night of our stay to be shunted off to a sister hotel The Blakely because people were delayed by snow. OK I get that- and we were given the same level of suite we had paid for, with kitchenette, coffee maker, cups, utensils etc. as I would expect. When we finally made it into the...

I almost didn't stay here, because some of the reviews were quite negative, but for the price range and location, I was willing to take a chance, and am glad that I did. I travel to NYC frequently, and need to be in the Times Square area, and for the price you will not find many comparable hotels. Yes, the...

This is a big busy hotel. Loads of group bookings and reception constantly packed with large groups of people. We booked a family suite. They accommodated our request for a bed in the bedroom and a bed in the lounge so we could have some space from the kids. The lounge room had heaps of space even with the bed...

Arrived at hotel and delivery men needed to get in so I held doors open for them even though I had my bags with me. I had to carry my bags up the stairs the bellman was speaking with someone. At check in I was informed the suite I reserved wasn't available and all that was available was a regular...

This hotel cannot be beat. The staff are friendly and professional. The location is where you want to be for food, shows, museums, shopping, and Central Park. The rooms are small but clean and, if on the outside, with great views.

It's a welcoming hotel, and very well sited - practically on top of the subway on 57th Street and within walking distance of the sights. The decor itself is a bit faded but that's part of it's charm - watch out for the split level lifts and flooring. The Park Cafe offers a great breakfast. I would call it comfortable...

I went to NYC for a few days on my own. Was looking for great location, good reviews, and priced inexpensive. Found it here at the Wellington. First of all, my greeting was the warmest of all, a gentleman showed me to my room. It was not the single that I thought, but a double room with two baths Although...

Just returned from staying at the wellington hotel. When we arrived our room wasn't ready so we stayed in an alternative room. Myself and son were given free WiFi plus a free breakfast in the cafe. The staff and hotel were great, Brilliant location to get to central park and basically anywhere in NYC if your thinking of going definitely...

I've been hesitant to book this hotel in the past, but SO glad I did this time. I spent 5 nights in NYC, and winter here is a low travel season, so hotel rates are much lower. But I was pleasantly surprised how clean, comfy (but small) the rooms were for the price. For one person, it was comfy. For...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
