Nice location but the service sucks. The receptionist was rude and wasn't helpful at all. I am paying for a service and I hope to receive that. Besides the rooms are old, but it's fine cause it's and old building, but the service is two fingers down.

I just returned home from a week and a half stay at the Wellington. About three blocks to your right, the southern end of Central Park, about 3-4 blocks to your left Times Square, nearby the best burger and malt ever at the Brooklyn Diner, the Russian Tea Room just around the corner on 7th Ave., out the side door...

This location of this hotel is so brilliant (just off times square) that for my partner and I, the actual hotel itself didn't really matter. If you are looking for a luxurious city hotel then this is not for you...but if you are looking for a place to rest your head whilst you take in the amazing sights of NYC...

Brilliant location, the rooms are tatty but well cleaned. We arrived on New Year's Eve and found the hotel had overbooked so we had to walk 4 blocks to another hotel for the night before dragging our bags back the next day.... with a hangover. Wasn't impressed with this but they gave us some free breakfasts and upgraded our room....

This hotel is fine, GOOD POINTS, like everyone else says great location it's only 8-10 minutes walk to times square. You can see times square from the entrance and although it looks just a minute away it is actually 8- 10 mins away ( dont be fooled). There is a sub way entrance outside the hotel that will take u...

This was my first visit to new York. We enjoyed the location and the staff were very helpful and efficient. The room we had was small and quite tired looking, clean and quiet!. Very reasonable for our five night stay. I would say the location was worth it and a block away was the best food ever at the "diner"!...

We just got back from my birthday weekend in New York City and stayed at the Wellington hotel. The location is excellent, staff is very friendly and helpful, and the rates were very good last weekend. The rooms were old but they gave us a huge corner room on the 25th floor with Central Park and Time Square views. Our...

We spent 4 nights here two weeks ago and it's a nice hotel. Clean rooms and bathrooms. The location is fantastic, 1 block from Carnegie Hall. We had a room with 2 double beds and there was plenty of room for 4 of us (adults). We even had space for a rollaway bed. The view was great, we looked almost...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
