Overall a great experience! Bed was comfortable. Loved the room having blackout curtains. Staff super friendly & helpful. Hotel was clean. 3 elevators, so only waited brief times when going to/from room. Location is excellent—easy walking distance to Broadway theaters as well as MoMA, Rockefeller, Times Square, & numerous restaurants. The room was actually quieter than I expected (we were on the 8th floor on the alley side). We stayed in an ADA room & we were impressed overall with the bathroom setup—roll under sink, shower chair provided, handheld shower wand in addition to rain style shower head. Bathroom was set up as “wet room” style, so easy to roll in, just need to put a towel down near the sink to assure water doesn’t spread to where anyone walking in the room could slip as there’s no shower curtain or other barrier to contain water splashes. Only a couple of things that would improve ADA compliance are there was no hand rail by the toilet, which is required and also moving the little wire shelf that’s attached to the back wall for shower toiletries to the opposite corner by where the actual shower head is because it’s current location is so far from the shower head that you have to walk across the floor out from the shower area during your shower to access them—we ended up using the little rolling cart by the sink instead, for safety reasons, as it could be moved close enough to use. The bed frame was a bit of a tripping hazard as the feet stick out from where the mattress is. The room is also small enough that a wheelchair can only access one side of the bed, so for anyone wheelchair bound who requires being on the far side of the bed, this particular room would not be workable. As it was, I was able to sleep on that side (& just had to step carefully to not trip going around the bed) & my daughter, who is a wheelchair user, slept on the side by the door where there was plenty of space. The other thing to be aware of is the main entrance is only stairs. The doorman has to escort you to a back, side door with a metal ramp (be careful as it has an angle at the lower end that almost sent my daughter flying out of her chair!) if you can’t use stairs. There are definitely some improvements to be made, but overall it was a good place to stay and we would definitely stay again if in NYC to see Broadway shows.

This is a great hotel in a fantastic location. We were visiting our kids for our anniversary and Keenan took special care to make our stay memorable. Jeff works the door and assists with anything and everything to get the most out of your adventures and mapped out a walking tour for us to see the sights. Everyone is super helpful, courteous and professional. The hotel has great special touches, including an umbrella in the closet. The bed was super comfortable and the shower was the best! Coffee is available in the morning in the lobby around 6:30, but if it’s not ready when you are, right outside the door across the street is a vendor and the coffee was hot and surprisingly tasty and cheap. The hotel also keeps a big water cooler station in the lobby so you can always fill your water bottle. The internet is fast most of the time, but I did get shut down a couple times during my stay while streaming. We stayed on the 9th floor on the 54th street side and you definitely hear the street noise, but it didn’t bother us. We were always exhausted after our daily adventures so fell right asleep. They have blackout curtains, so you can block out the city lights. We have stayed in 5 star hotels, but why would you bother when this hotel has everything you need and it’s a great hotel.
Don’t miss the free Stanton Island Ferry to see the Statue of Liberty. The best breakfast we found was Carnegie Diner & Cafe. We tried the Central Park location (across from Carnegie Hall) and the Times Square location and liked it better because it was a little roomier. Apple Jacks is right around the corner from the hotel and is a great greasy spoon diner. The best cappuccino and cannoli we found was at Norma’s in Hell’s Kitchen. We also had great Italian pizza in little Italy at Nappoli’s. Wicked is playing at The Gershwin just down the street from the hotel and it was a great show. But this hotel is right in the theater district, so you have a lot to choose from. Have a great time when you visit! 🥳

The structure of the hotel is good. Despite the room we stayed to be quite small, it was suitable for two people. The bed very comfortable, good bathroom, with great shower. The room heating was also excellent, we caught negative temperatures in NY, but inside the room always with a pleasant temperature. The maid's cleaning was good, and she left a bottle of water for each of us as a hotel courtesy. The hotel does not have breakfast, but there is always coffee and water available at the reception for guests, in addition to apples and at a certain time in the afternoon provided a glass of wine for guests as a compliment. Besides all the positive points put, I think the main advantage of the hotel is its excellent location, between the central park and the times square, note 10. We stayed in room 607 and after check out I was surprised by a charge of $163.31 on my credit card. I contacted the hotel to confirm what the charge was, thinking that it could be some fee charged after check out. Before I did, I would have avoided feeling embarrassed by the situation that was created. When questioning the amount charged by the booking.com chat, I was informed that I was charged for keeping a cat in my room without warning the reception. I never kept a single type of animal in my room, we traveled only in two people, on holiday, I already argued and talked in the conversation I had through the booking.com chat. I was told that the management would contact me about this situation, but no one else got in touch, I asked about it but they don't answer me anymore. I honestly don't think they're going to return my money, which was unfairly charged on my credit card. May the hotel make good use of it, but only hope that in a next situation like this, that they investigate better, and that if there really comes to be an animal hidden in some room, that they discover the real guest responsible, and that they do not cover the wrong guest. The rating I give pro hotel remains good, despite all this situation, the hotel deserves the rating that has here in the trip advisor as it is a good hotel, with many positive points. Our holidays were great but would have been perfect hadn’t happened after our check out.

Privileged mto location, exactly 10 minutes walk from Central Park and 5’ from the middle of Times Square, with various theaters and performances around (Broadway). Tb is mto close to Radio City and Rockfeller (10’ walk), with two subway stations very close (I always recommend using 59 St Colombus Circle station). Mtos restaurants around the hotel, cafes, starbucks, etc. We don't have to use Uber any day!
The staff are spectacular and do not measure efforts to help us. Special congratulations to Kinny, Jeff, the other Moroccan portier whose name we can't remember, we are always pleased and willing to help us.
The room is small but mto comfortable and the King bed served us mto well with an 11-year-old child sleeping in the middle! We were in 1 couple and 1 child.
With ctza we will stay there again.

My stay at Ameritania Hotel was overall great. We booked a 5-night stay at an affordable rate of about $120 per night. The location of the hotel was simply amazing, being right in the heart of everything, easily accessible by all subways and also within walking distance to many attractions.
However, I have to mention that some of the night and wait staff seemed a little rough around the edges. They weren't as friendly or attentive as we had hoped. Nevertheless, the cleaning staff did a decent job, though I wish they could come earlier in the day, perhaps in the morning, especially for guests who are not checking out, so they could focus on cleaning the checked out rooms after 12pm in the afternoon.
The room itself was a bit on the small and dark side, but it served its purpose well. On a positive note, the bathroom was modern and bright, providing a pleasant experience. One small suggestion I have is to consider changing the long outer blackout curtain to a shorter one, as it currently blocks the AC unit vent, affecting the room's temperature.
On the upside, the daily provision of two water bottles was highly appreciated and a nice touch.
In conclusion, Ameritania Hotel's central location and affordable rates make it a convenient choice for exploring the city. While there were some minor issues with the room and staff, the overall experience was satisfactory, and we enjoyed our stay in the bustling city.

Had a pleasantly wonderful experience at Ameritania! My expectations were low because it was in Times Square (expected it to be loud, touristy), and because the price was low (expected it to be cheap). It was the opposite of those expectations! It was a beautiful hotel, well decorated, clean, and welcoming.
Khaoula was an excellent front desk help, getting us checked in and settled quickly and efficiently. She was kind and helpful.
The room felt like a boutique hotel experience - we had two full beds and the room felt huge for NYC accommodations! The bathroom and shower were modern, lots of storage space in the closet, and the room came with a complimentary umbrella for use. Great view of the city, but was unfortunately partially blocked by some scaffolding when we were there.
The only criticism that I have is that the lobby smelled like gas for the duration of our short trip - I'm guessing that's from the street or neighboring building, but it did make you want to exit the lobby as quickly as possible, which was unfortunate because it was very welcoming otherwise.

The hotel is very close to Times Square & easily accessible by Lyft drivers. The rooms are small but the shower is huge; good quality shampoo, conditioner, body wash & lotion are provided. The beds are super comfy too. Only negative is no in room coffee maker (not unusual in NYC); each morning had to go to the lobby to get it & it wasn't very hot & tasted pretty weak. The complimentary wine hour each evening was a nice touch though.

The hotel is easily accessible directly from JFQ airport by the nearby E line. It deserves top marks for the staff, especially Jeff with his friendliness and sweetness, Lili Sergi for the smile and Mohamed for the availability. And it deserves full marks for the careful cleaning of the room and common areas. I had a problem with the room I had been allocated for the noise of the air conditioners coming from the inner courtyard and I immediately had the changeover solution with a higher category and quieter room. Very useful to have water, coffee and fruit available in the lobby in the morning. Good breakfast at the local agreement with a very friendly staff even if after a few days the choice is little varied. A little noisy the air conditioning system, which you can put in off. The location is really strategic, on a not very busy street, very close to Times Square, Broadway and Central Park.

We loved this hotel. Took a lot of searching to find something that would suit our needs that wasn’t astronomically expensive. Rooms are possibly a little tired but they give you everything you need and the beds were fantastically comfortable with great bed linen & good pillows. Bathrooms are a good size. Water pressure was a little sketchy once or twice but only at peak times. We asked for rooms near each other & on high floor away from the lifts which they sorted out for us. There’s a comedy club near the hotel which we could hear at night but given the location it wasn’t too noisy and we slept well. Free coffee and tea in the lobby every morning. No machines in rooms but it’s easy enough to go get drinks and take them back to the rooms. There’s a bar in the evenings but it’s not well stocked which is a shame as the lobby area is quite fun to sit in and we would have happily finished our evenings with a nightcap there. And the gym is a bit of an experience! But honestly staff are so lovely & helpful. Especially Jeff on the door. He knows everything and was just so attentive & helpful telling us where to go for things and also sorting out a return transfer. For us this was a perfect location. Close to Central Park & easy to get around. We will go back & stay again for sure.
