We stayed 2 times during same trip - however on the second arrival one of our two rooms had been given away (reserved through easytobook), even though the front desk had taken a note that we'd be arriving late. There was no call ahead on the situation either - and no available rooms in close by properties. Eventually crammed two...

If you need a comfortable, functional base for working or shopping midtown at about half the average price of other chains, this is it. Nice compact updated bathrooms [lacking towel racks, for some reason!] fluffy towels, good memory-foam bed and working room temperature controls [sometimes hard to find in older NYC buildings like this one],with free high-speed internet are tucked...

I stayed originally in the Ramada Eastside just over a year ago and had a pleasant enough experience to return on a recent business trip to NYC. I arrived late (at midnight) after a landing in the snow at Newark, so all I wanted was a good rest in a warm place. I had booked via booking.com but the comments...

Dear slickricspain, Thank you for your review. We apologize for the inconveniences you faced during your stay. We always try to honor requests for certain rooms, however we cannot always guarantee these requests. However, it is our error for giving you a smoking room, so we are very sorry. Quite expensive, but that's new york accomdation in general. The location is pretty good for alot of attractions, grand central and empire state building within reasonable walking distance, or a couple of subway stations within 2/3 blocks for connection to the rest of manhattan and NY. The rooms were cosy but functional, thought slightly sparse on power sockets. Free wifi...

Have just had a four night stay in this hotel and couldn't find any fault. It may not offer lots of facilities but as a base for a sightseeing trip it couldn't be better. Our room, 1001 seemed to have been recently refurbished - was very clean and was the en-suite bathroom. Though it was a bit small with two...

Location was brilliant and easy to get around. Appreciated the breakfast which was filling. Rooms a bit on the small side but as we only used it to sleep in, didn't cause us much of a problem. Bathroom also a bit cramped but the shower was hot and powerful. Staff were helpful when we needed them. Hotel arranged pick up...

I´ve found this hotel through the forums at tripadvisor. It has a fairly rate and the rooms are good. It has a great quality-price relation. Best thing is its location, You are close to several amount of places on the East side. Dont forget to get your MTA card and go wandering around!,

The Ramada Eastside is a definite gem in the midtown/gramercy/murray hill section of NYC. Two blocks away from the nearest subway station, three blocks away from 34th street, and about ten blocks from Times Square. My friend and I arrived over an hour before the 3pm check-in and our room was ready. The lobby was clean, uncluttered, and the front...

Had stayed at the Park Central which was undergoing renovations and on return from Aruba we did not want to return there. A guest recommended the Ramada on Eastside. No internet available so I personally checked it out myself. The requirements were simple - comfort-value-location. We stayed for 4 nights and got all three. Be aware that the rooms are...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
