This hotel was dissappointing. It is a real shame because the location and bed were great. Reasons for our dissapointment: 1. We had written and called them in advance to say that we would arrive around midnight. Then, at time of arrival, they said that the hotel was overbooked. After 45 minutes they sent us to another hotel which we...

Dear nomadecouple, Thank you for your review. We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced when you arrived. Occasionally, the hotel does get overbooked and guests arriving late will have to stay at another hotel for a night. We are very surprised to hear that you found cockroaches in your bathroom. Our cleaning staff works very hard to clean the rooms...

Stayed two nights. Our room was a little small but really you're only there to sleep so don't need a lot of space. The property and room was incredibly clean and appeared to be fairly recently renovated. We appreciated being close to the subway line and relatively close to the main sights. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, but only...

We stayed 4 nights in a King Bed room that was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast is included and is certainly more than adequate, providing juice, coffee, bagels, cereal, boiled eggs, toast, yogurt etc. The hotel is 2 blocks from the subway and within walking distance to Rockefeller Center. We had no problems getting a cab nearby. Cab fare to...

My husband and I stayed here for four nights. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful at informing us about public transportation which is very close by. There is also a laundromat a few yards away that we used. The breakfast at the hotel was more than adequate and the rooms were exceptionally clean although small...but who cares...

We occupied room 1209(top floor) of this hotel for 6 nights and were very happy. The subway(we used it daily for all our New York experiences and found it very safe and efficient) was 2 blocks away. The staff were very nice and helpful. Our room was adequate. The bed was very comfy, Nice flat screen TV but it was...

Dear Larry C, Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay but sorry about the room feeling cramped. Our rooms vary in size somewhat, but most are about the average size for hotel rooms in Manhattan. We are surprised that you found the daily cleaning to be sloppy. Our housekeeping staff works very hard to ensure...

We stayed 3 nights at this lovely hotel. Clean and well maintained with adequate sized bedroom, smallish bathroom but overall very good. Included breakfast helped to start the day. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Location was great, street noise minimal, great Italian restaurant right next door and only @ couple of blocks from the subway.

I've stayed at this hotel twice and I have been pleased both times. The rooms are well sized for New York City. The decor is up-to-date and well maintained. The location is very good - close to many attractions but in a fairly quiet area with plenty of restaurants and small stores. The breakfast area is nice and spacious and...

Dear Dana L, Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay on both occasions. We are sorry that some of your co-workers did not like the mattresses. We have Tempurpedic mattresses, which the majority of our guests love because they conform to your body’s shape. We hope the elevators did not cause any inconvenience for you...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
