Best location you could have. Between 5th ave and 6th ave at the start of Broadway. Easy walking distance to times square, subway approx. 25 metres from hotel, close by to Broadway, Empire State building. Staff very friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast good, Wifi works well. Good rooftop to view city from. Room comfortable but older style. Can hear next rooms...

The Hotel Metro is ideally located in the centre of NYC, within 10/15 minutes walk from a large variety of landmarks and tourist hotspots but without being too 'in the middle' of everything. This is one of the few hotels that still offer breakfast within the room price and this is a priceless commodity as you can load up on...

I don't think you can go wrong with this hotel. It's not super flashy but is a very good standard in a great location, the rooms are pretty big for new york and has a good bar and grill where you can get reasonably priced food. Oh and it has views of the empire state from the roof terrace. With...

Visited Hotel Metro from the 18-25th March 2017. Thoroughly impressed from check in to check out We got to the hotel late-ish and was greeted with a warm welcome and given thorough details of all the hotel information. This hotel offers a complimentary breakfast and free wine tasting every evening, a great perk considering how expensive New York is. Our...

My wife and I wanted a comfortable hotel for a weeks stay in NYC. The hotel is in a central location a block away from the Empire State Building and Macys. Our room was a good size, with a comfortable bed, large TV, desk and a couple of chairs. As we were to the back of the hotel we didn't...

Really enjoyed our recent stay here. No complaints at all. Location is perfect and room was a grand size, clean and quiet. Tea and coffee facilities in the room and also free wine tasting downstairs from 5 to 6. Would recommend and would love to return someday.

Excellent location, minutes from the Metro, Macy's, Empire State and Times Square. My daughter and I shared a modestly sized room to rear of building, quiet, which suited us. Everything you need, a safe, iron, ironing board, coffee machine (which we didn't use) fridge. Good continental breakfast available, and tea and coffee available 24hours in dining room. Staff that we...

Hotel Metro is located on 45 W 35th St and is easy walking distance to the Empire State building, literally a block down from the hotel and a few blocks up from time square. The Liberty, which is a few doors down from the hotel, is a good bar with good cocktails and food. If you are flying into JFK...

The only good thing about this hotel is its location. It is conveniently located beside the subway station and a stone throw's away from empire state. And now the negative points with this hotel: 1. Very rude doorman (only applicable to the tall old indian guy) 2. Room's bed had irritating squeeking sounds 3. Toilet bowl doesn't flush well (got...

It was a very lovely and quant hotel they upgraded us and when we went into our room their was a note and a bottle of champagne in an ice bucket which was a lovely thought, the staff was great. We were in a good location off 5th avenue close to the Empire State Building and a nice walk to...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
