We spent 3 nights at the Metro over New Year before setting off on a cruise to the Caribbean. The staff are very pleasant, the rooms comfortable with excellent shower rooms. The Metro Grill offers good typically priced food and provides a pleasant well stocked Bar. But the real features of the Metro are the roof terrace with spectacular views...

We stayed at Hotel Metro in November of 2016 for 8 nights during our first trip to NYC. We picked it due to the glowing reviews on TripAdvisor and the fact it was one of the few hotels in New York City to offer a free breakfast and were certainly not disappointed. First of all, it's in a great location...

My husband and I stayed at the Metro for 3 nights and highly recommend it. The location is fantastic and we were easily able to walk to all the major attractions. The room whilst small was very nicely presented and made up to a high standard. Staff were all very friendly and could not do enough for you. All in...

Fantastic hotel for a city break. The room was cozy and clean along with the bed being one of the most comfortable beds ive ever slept in. The hotel was in a great location with the subway at the end of the street. About 3 shops down from the hotel there is an amazing pizza place where you can buy...

We spent four nights here this week and found the front of house staff to be pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful, interacting with a smile and a welcome. We felt valued as customers and nothing appeared too much from them. The room was lovely and quiet. The only thing we would have liked to see (and this is not a complaint...

From the welcome by one of the amazing doormen, to the smiles at the reception, to the comfy-cozy room - did I mention the Empire State Building right outside our Penthouse Room window, and the great wine tasting every afternoon? Well, it does not get any better if you want an amazing place to stay in New York City. We...

Stayed here for 3 nights in January 2017 for daughter's 21st. I have visited New York 5 times before and stayed in 'posher' more expensive hotels but never again as this hotel is perfect. The ideal location. One block from Empire State Building, 1 minute from subway, 3 mins from Macys, 1 minute from 5th Avenue, 15 mins south of...

Stayed at this hotel for 5 nights for our honeymoon. Hotel is perfectly located by Macy's, Empire State & cross section of Broadway & 6th Ave which makes its a great base for exploring both mid and downtown Manhattan. The rooms are a great size for what you need during a city break, with large windows making them feel even...

I can say that I have been to NYC a lot of times and this was the first hotel I stayed that served a decent breakfast for free! Great selection of breads, cereal and muffins! Was excellent! The price was really worth for the room offered. The room and bathroom were clean and in perfect order and there was cleaning...

What a great hotel in a brilliant location, 2 blocks from Macy's and so easy to get to MSG. Transport links are great to. The staff are friendly and even though some of the rooms are on the small side, who cares you are in NYC in Midtown. Will definitely come back for my 3rd visit soon.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
