Right in the centre of Manhattan-yards from Macys with a wow factor view of the Empire State Building from the roof top patio. Art deco style hotel-rooms and toilets clean-24hr tea and coffee on tap in the lobby-lifts to all floors. Business room for access to internet and printing but concierge happy to book transfers, outings and taxis. Hotel staff...

Booking a trip to New York is daunting because it's so big and there's so much to choose from. We weighed up quite a few hotels and decided on the Hotel Metro after seeing reviews and pictures on Tripadvisor. We weren't disappointed. The hotel is located in Mid-town and is a short walk from the heart of the touristy stuff...

Stayed here last week, not a modern hotel but very nice stay. Did a cold breakfast on toasts, muffins, cereals, bagels etc in the price which most hotels in new York don't. Room was a premium queen which provided tea and coffee machine and fridge with soft drinks. Bed was very comfy, ask for room at back of hotel as...

My Girlfriend and I have just returned from 5 nights at Hotel Metro - it was our first time in New York and we couldn't have picked a better spot - it's right in the heart of the city, no more than a 10 minute walk from Times Square and literally across the road from Macy's. The room was great...

I stayed here in February for my partners 30th birthday for 5 nights. Upon arriving to the hotel we were given a free upgrade which was brilliant. Our room was on the top floor of the hotel. Very quaint and very quiet no complaints and thanks for the brilliant service. Breakfast was a basic continental but there was enough selection...

We have stayed at this place in the past. Nice place, a little dated and small rooms. Could be a little cleaner, but in a good location close to Times Square, etc subway stop only a half block away. Walking distance to theaters and great food

Visited NYC for the 7th time in February 2017. Stayed for the 4th time at the Hotel Metro in W35th Street. Once again it lived up to all expectations. The location is perfect for people wanting to see and enjoy New York. Room was fine, continental breakfast is included and daily wine tasting from 5.00 pm to 6.30 pm which...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
