We stayed at this hotel in early March for 5 days! We were celebrating our 40th Wedding Anniversary! It was our first ever trip to New York and we were not disappointed! From our arrival until our departure we found the Staff polite and helpful especially the Reception staff; Concierge and Doormen! We owe many thanks to the Reception Staff... More

Just arrived back from NY, this hotel was excellent, central to the whole of the city, very good continental breakfast , tea and coffee available free all day. The rooms were very clean and had everything we needed ( fridge, iron, tv). All staff were very friendly and helpful, I couldn't have asked for more. We will defiantly be returning... More

Stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks with a friend and loved it. Perfect location for everything in NY. There isn't much you can't walk to from this hotel. Dean on concierge was very helpful with regards to subway lines to Yankee Stadium and Citifield. All staff very pleasant and helpful. Housekeeping always made the effort to wish you a... More

Spent 4 nights in this hotel early April. Everything spot on except for the hotel restaurant (Metro Grill). Hotel very clean and comfortable although a little noisy which is only to be expected with it's central location. Complimentary breakfast is a bonus and very good.Staff very friendly and helpful. Metro Grill was, however, very disappointing. (Will review separately) Poor quality... More

This was our third time staying at the metro & still as good as the other times. Stayed on 8th floor in one off the newly decorated rooms, love the bathroom with the rain shower, & nice to have a coffee machine. Kept nice & clean with fresh towels every day. Whilst we was here my husband was taken ill... More

Myself and my boyfriend stayed at the Metro from 18th March until 23rd March. We found it's location ideal for seeing the sights of New York and as it was right next to the Empire State Building all you had to do was look up to get your bearings. The room was compact but I believe that is usual for... More

My 6-year-old grandson said he will miss Hotel Metro. This is a great place to take children. My daughter, two grandsons and I spent four nights here during the Easter weekend in one of the two rooms connected with a bathroom and extra sink. It's close enough so you can walk to Times Square, Macy's is practically next door (with... More

We have just returned from staying in the metro and what a fabulous experience we have had. Centrally located, this spotless hotel offers everything from excellent food to polite and helpful staff. Rooms are well above average for a centrally located hotel and the atmosphere is typical American - vibrant and energetic. Without hesitation, it was well worth the stay... More

My daughter and I have just returned from a 5 day (4 night) stay at Hotel Metro and couldn't have found a better hotel is we tried! Hotel metro is situated right near many of the main attractions on 35th street, (inbetween 5th and 6th Avenue) minutes away from Macy's,Timesquare and Broadway. Having stayed at a hotel nearer Central Park... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
