I have stayed at the Roosevelt on several occasions when I had to travel in to NYC on short notice and found that my preferred hotel close to my office was fully booked. I've never been disappointed by the decision to go with the Roosevelt. The staff is friendly, the rooms are reasonably nice for the price, and the location...

I stayed here in 2011 and enjoyed it very much. It's a great location and having stayed here before I knew where things were from here. I like the building and area very much. This time I had some issues. To check in or anything at the front desk was a long, long wait (15-45 minutes each time). I know...

My husband and I stay at the Roosevelt every time we travel to New York now. The midtown location is excellent. Just a short walk to Grand Central Station and Times Square. The rooms are on the small side which is typical of NYC but they are quite comfortable. The bar is a nice spot to sit and people watch.

I've been coming to this hotel for decades. It feels like home. It's old but nice. Comfortable. Most importantly its so close to everything. Our favorite restaurant (Cafe Centro) is across the street. Subway is right there at Grand Central.

We stayed here for 4 nights over St Patricks weekend. On the day we arrived we were told on check-in that we were being upgraded to a Kingsize room, delighted with this so off to a good start. On entering the room we were totally disappointed by Kingsize they meant a Kingsize bed that just about fitted into the room,...

I think this hotel offers great value great location, terrific staff. Close to Grand Central! Be sure to visit GC Oyster Bar, in the lowest level of the Grand Central. Basically four different oyster restaurants wrapped in one!

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
