This grand hotel is one of the most beautiful, historic hotels in NYC. Don't let the subdued entrance fool you - step inside and when you climb the stairwell, and see the Art Nouveau lobby unfold in front of you, your gasp will be audible. Fabulous lobby bar, spacious, comfortable rooms and great service at the front desk, the bell...

Thank you for your comments and review. You are correct, two of our guests favorite features of the Roosevelt are: the architecture and the central mid-town location. Thanks again for your great feedback and we look forward to your next stay.

We stayed in a quad family room (2 x double beds) for 4 nights in February. Being the only member of the party who had been to NYC before, I chose this hotel because of it's fabulous location. Very short walk to the Empire State building, Central Station, Central Park and 5th Avenue and other famous sights. As stated by...

We stayed in NYC for the whole weekend and did it all. The location of the Hotel was perfect never touched the car once it was parked. Service was really quick very busy and still moved along nicely. We were upgraded to a King only because one was available with out even requesting. All employees were nice and polite, the...

Stayed three nights in December - the lobby was beautifully decorated. Room was perfectly fine, nice size and price (considering - NYC), and the location is incredibly convenient, given its proximity to Grand Central, Time Square, etc. The only complaint I have, and this goes for pretty much any hotel anymore, is the wifi. Just give it up, guys. In...

Thank you for your comments and review. Yes, our lobby is simply magical during the Holidays. We are so happy to have made your stay memorable. Our apologies however, if the wifi fees caught you off guard. We frequently shop other mid-town hotels to ensure that our rates remain competitive. Our go to hotel in NYC. Based on rates, service, and location you won't be disappointed. The room are very small however, for two people it will work. Make sure you get a room with two beds, worth the added cost. Amenities are slim, no refrigerator, or coffee pot. We brought our grandson along this time. Starbucks is available for...

Needed a place to stay for a quick night in New York and this hotel was the right price and convenient. However, it was not what I expected based on what I had read online. Despite a beautiful lobby, the hotel needs some major updates, particularly to its bathrooms and to the business center. Additionally, the staff did not seem...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
