We love staying in B&B's and Inns so we jumped at the chance of staying in one that was formerly a church. Located on Main street just a short few blocks from downtown Ventura it is ideally suited to people that like to walk to dinner and shopping. We were celebrating our anniversary and Nona personally baked us a special...

We booked a room in Victorian Rose on a Thanksgiving morning to come and stay there that same night. Nona (the owner and our hostess) was extremely nice and polite, and very accommodating. We came in at night and it seemed like we were the only people in the building. Now then, this place was built in 1881 and used...

This is a 100+ year old church that has been converted to a quaint B&B. There are 5 unique rooms nicely decorated in different vintage themes. The main room was where the congregation once sat during church services. It now serves as the breakfast dining area and sitting area. The front 2 rooms face the street and tend to be...

This place is walking distance to restaurants and downtown. Room was pretty and comfortable. Breakfast was great. The host was sick at the time so not too much interaction with her. Overall it was a great place to stay.

This place is entirely worn out. I contemplated taking a photo of the balcony patio so you can see the dead plants and broken stuff up there. Good thing my boyfriend and I have a sense of humor - sure, it's interesting that this was a church, but it really is not a nice place to stay. Sorry, Nona.

A very nice room with comfortable bed. Patio off of bedroom (shared with two other rooms). The building is old (a former church) and could use some TLC but the rooms are clean and quiet. Breakfast was great. Nona is a fantastic cook. Met the most interesting people during our stay.

We have stayed in many B&B, but never one in a converted church! What a unique idea and fun experience! The rooms have lots of space, lots of charming, antique furniture with lots of dressers for your clothes. The breakfast table was beautifully set, and in what would have been the main part of the church. The food was not...

My Husband and I visited for long weekend trip for my birthday. we stayed in the "Wisteria Gardens" room which is the smallest of the 5 and has private bathroom separate from the actual room. It sounds strange to have you bathroom not be in your room but it actually was fine. There was only one other couple staying there...

Victorian Rose has charm oozing from its architecture...it's conversion from a beautiful old church into a B&B was a grand idea. The question is: how much are you willing to pay for this old church charm? We checked in with Nona...she was delightful and accommodating. At check-in, she indicated what time breakfast would be and what she would be serving...

The owners have done a wonderful job of converting an old church into a B&B. The room was quite clean and comfortable even though everything in it was antique. Everywhere you looked in the room and the building there was something interesting to see. The location is fantastic with only a few blocks to walk to restaurants and shopping. Breakfast...
