We camped at the Oregon Trail Wagon Train for one night. Their "campground" is just an open area under cottonwood trees with a view of Chimney Rock and their dumpsters. Not the most impressive, but we found an old cable spool that we could use as a picnic table, and put our tent in a strategic location for optimum scenery....

It is some years since our trip on the wagon trail. We took an over nighter( should have taken longer.trip) We really enjoy it. I worry about snakes, so rode the wagon, my husband rode a horse. The chuck wagon was excellent with sour bread made on the chuck wagon and baked over the pit BBQ. We learnt how to...

Just pulling into the drive you realize what a wonderful choice you've made in staying at BarnAnew. The 100+ year old converted barn is loaded with history, and pulls you in with it's farm-like antiques and American Indian decor. You are reminded of the historic wagon train trails that moved through this area in the naming of the four guest...

A near mile off the paved road, brings you to the Oregon Trail Wagon Train. Set on an old ranch, the owners have kept an old western charm. Multiple small buildings are adorned with antiques stapled to the side. The wagon ride was short, but fun. The driver handed out a ton of Oregon Trail knowledge. The grill was overflowing...

Happily, someone recommended the Oregon Trail Wagon Train and a friend knew it was in Bayard, less than an hour from Scottsbluff, and I found in in the AAA Tour Book. We called for a reservation. What a unique...

We picked a return route from Yellowstone that would let us return to enjoy the great food and casual entertainment again. The ribeyes were great as always and the entire evening was enjoyable. No crowd and everyone was very congenial. We camped on the property and could see Chimney Rock lit up throughout the night, The shower house could use...

We were excited to take a covered wagon ride along the actual Oregon Trail and enjoy a genuine chuckwagon experience. When we arrived, we discovered we were the only family signed up that day, and my husband wasn't thrilled, because we had to be "on" for the hosts vs. enjoying the activity somewhat anonymously. We felt awkward and he kept...

Even in the rain this was a most enjoyable experience. The food is fantastic and the company great. Haven't been able to eat a Ribeye since, because it won't be the same. Can't wait to go back!!!!
