I am a Wyndham reward member and I have stayed at other Super 8 hotels, some very god, some not really good but this one had the most deficiencies. Here's my list: 1) no pool or hot tub availability ( and not .isted on website that it was closed; 2) bath towels thin and stained (wouldn't qualify as dog towels; 3) candy & soda broken/ nonfunctional ; 4) hair dryer not in room. Desk clerk said it had to be there. He brought up the hairdryer the 2nd day; room 214. 5) strong cigarette smoke in hallway. Rooms marked smoke free. 6) very low class. Wouldn't recommend unless you HAD NO WHERE ELSE TO GO and rate was $30 or less; 7) sheets dingy but bed was sleepable; 8) no breakfast offered; 9 ...... outside of building and parking lot clean bit lobby dark and dingy Unhappy customer!
Booked for price and amenities . Prce was reasonable, no amenities, pool closed, no continental breakfast, due to COVID-19 restrictions, two bars of soap, no lotion, no tissue in room empty container. Might seem petty but night stands on both sides of the bed is a plus, my husband had no place to put his glasses or his book. Even more petty probably but I always was taught that the seams on a bottom sheet went next to the mattress turned down the bed and the fitted sheet was wrong side out, which mad me leery did the maid just flip it? Not sure. The gentleman on duty was nice enough. Neighbors played TV too loud. Just not a good experience but sufficient for an overnight.
The TV receiver is behind the TV attached to the wall behind where an old TV used to be. Nothing can be placed on the TV stand/dresser. I found this out at 415AM when I was woke up by people leaving the hotel. No big deal. The reason I am notating this is that the interior doors to the rooms SLAM. They slam at 4pm too. It is not the guests fault it is the hotel owners fault for not putting the things in the door to slow them down. It slams fast as it slammed on my suitcase. I can usually sleep thru anything as can my dogs. We have lived in hotels for the last several months touring the country. Noise complaints are never a complaint I do. There is printed directions in the bathroom on how to use the shower because it is not normal. I booked a nonsmoking queen and advised in my travel agent booking 2 days ago and with a phone call to the hotel. I had a special discounted rate. When I get here I was given a room with 2 beds because they claim they weren’t told about my pets. I wasn’t going to play the owners game. I even claimed my pets on the mobile app when I checked in. I am a diamond member. My room smelled like dog urine when I walked in. I ran my room deionizer for 3 hours before I brought my dogs in. The bathroom is clean. The room is clean. I am assuming that the owner thinks that pets only belong in one room. There is hardly any outlets and no USB ports. The lighting is nice. Check in took over 30 minutes to get 2 people before me checked in and myself. These owners really need to start thinking about some updates and customer service. …
I had to come to Wilcox for personal trip. The price was comparable to other super 8’s I’ve stayed at before and the motel was located conveniently off the interstate. The room was clean. The staff was friendly. Would stay again.
First room smelt like urine, desk person did give us a different room which was better but there was damaged edging on walls and the bedding was questionable. Stayed because of pool but will not stay again. Ice machine broken desk person said there was nothing he could do.
