David and Phil are the consummate hosts- brothers who are full of history, kindness and Virginia warmth. The inn is well appointed, near the Victory Monument and the battlefield at Yorktown and walking distance to the historic village and the waterfront. Best Inn ever! Rooms were spacious and comfortable and breakfasts set a high bar for other places we'll stay!...

From the moment we arrived and were greeted by Jeanette, we felt at home. This is a huge house with 2 large rooms plus dining room downstairs as well as the building being surrounded by open and a screened porch. The bedrooms are upstairs, so we packed only what we needed from our car and left the large suitcases. Our...

We found this charming and historic B & B online while en-route to the Virginia coast from Charlottseville. It was 7pm, dark and unfamiliar to my wife and I. We were game to try an Inn with some personality, and boy did we find it! Walking in cold we were warmly greeted by the Innkeeper and quickly shown the choice...

Hornsby House is simply a wonderful 1930s B&B family owned & run B&B located in Yorktown with an easy walk to the town's restaurants & water front. The house is full of family pictures, furniture and other family related personal items. During our stay, we were looked after by Phil Hornsby (grandson of the original owner) and by Jeanette the...

We picked this spot based on the pictures and excellent reviews and they were spot on! David was thorough in his communication regarding reservations, where to park, suggestions on where to sight see, offered to make dinner reservations..... We really felt at home. Jean Ette greeted us and made us feel so welcome, chatting a bit and extending warm southern...

We chose to stay at the Hornsby House Inn because it looked attractive and is conveniently situated for short drives to all the historical sites nearby. Upon our arrival we knew we had made the right choice. The house is as charming as we had hoped and David and Philip warmly greeted us with wine and cheese and crackers on...

We booked this place rather than a hotel and it's just like going to a rather rich grandparent's place in the sense of the antiques and structure of the house. It still seems like an old family home but with a few modern amenities like separate bathrooms for each guest room, self controlled AC units in each room. they had...

Our 3 night stay was both very comfortable and enjoyable. The house / home is delightful with tremendous character and well appointed guest rooms. We enjoyed the breakfasts and wine & cheese along with the social time with other guests. Definitely a return destination for future trips to the Historic Triangle of Virginia.

We booked Hornsby House based on previous reviews and were not disappointed. We stayed in the Magnolia Room which was spacious and comfortable. Dave, the owner, is very knowledgeable about the area, having grown up in the house which was apparently extensively renovated several years ago. It is conveniently located directly across the street from the Victory Monument and is...
