My husband and I had a horrific experience at a Super 8 nearby. My daughter immediately booked us at Sonesta Hotel and called them to explain we were on our way and how upset we were. We arrived and Annette at the front desk knew who we were. She checked us in quickly, confirming we are staying at a safe and healthy hotel. It was extremely clean, the staff was great. I went downstairs for a bit to calm myself down and had Melody Jones wait on me at the restaurant area. She was the nicest and most compassionate person I met in a very long time. Definitely would recommend this hotel to all!

This location is dated, with popcorn ceilings, missing kitchen cabinet doors, and thin walls. They forgot to leave dish towels and wash cloth for us. The staff seemed nice enough, but when we asked about ice we were told the front desk clerk was the only one who could get it for us and she was alone so couldn't leave her station. We were concerned that a location as busy as they seemed to be would leave one person to run the whole thing.

This hotel was fine - nothing special but OK. It was clean, the staff was friendly. I will say the breakfast area was beautiful and clean. The food was fresh, hot and always kept full. I did find the $250 per night room hold on a credit card ridiculous - never in all of our travels have we been charged that, but we were told it was standard (and it was even on a placard at the front desk).

I am currently staying at this hotel with my family. I checked in on Monday and staying until Sunday. On Tuesday morning I noticed a few ugly stains on our comforter and asked for a housekeeper to come change.

Thursday was the first day we actually needed service to our room. Honestly, we only needed our sheets changed and fresh towels. However, no one showed up to clean the room. I asked the housekeeper cleaning the room across the hall and she told me she was only responsible for cleaning the rooms where guests checked out.

This morning (around 11:30am) I called down to the front desk because still, no one has come to clean our room. The front desk told me that they only service rooms Monday through Thursday. When I told her that I needed service yesterday (which was Thursday) and no one showed up she didnt have a clear response.

Additionally, I spoke to the manager who reminded me that during Covid, the hotel is not cleaning rooms on a daily basis and for guests staying atleast 7 days, rooms will be serviced once a week. We are staying for 7 days and 6 nights and our room has not been serviced. She also says she can get someone to service our room by tomorrow morning. Tomorrow morning?!?! That is unacceptable.

I just requested someone bring the sheets and towels up so that I can change them myself.

Even under these circumstances, if a guest is staying in a hotel for at least one week they should receive proper service. And after 5 days of no service I should not be told to wait a full 24-hours to get attention to the matter. I think management should have handled this differently.

Not to mention I decided not to post the nasty stains we found on our sheets when we arrived earlier in the week. And the hallways and elevator need to be vacuumed.

I don't think this hotel is up to par for the bare minimal service that should be provided ever during the pandemic. There are other choices out there.

A housekeeper brought up clean sheets and towels and after noticing how frustrated I was, she insisted on changing the sheets herself. Because of her, I am giving this 2 stars.

As a loyal customer of Marriott for several years I will never stay at this hotel again. I dont normally stay at Residence Inn but because of the pandemic, I figured it was a safe option given that I could cook my own food and not required to go out as much. However, if this is standard for all Residence Inn, this will be my last time staying at one.

We stayed here for two nights. Location: there are two Sonesta properties next to each other on Motel Drive, this location is the second one at the end of the dead-end road. The room we had was OK, except the kitchen area had no cookware. The kitchen area had an electric range that included an oven, something I don't often see. Somewhat limited TV channel choices. "Breakfast": on Sunday, we were handed a bag with a bottle of water, a banana, a carton of yogurt, and a muffin. I was given a cup of decaffeinated coffee, as I requested. On Monday, the "breakfast" was a minimal handout protocol, not vegetarian-friendly. No decaffeinated coffee (absurd). No egg option that didn't include meat, although the sign at the area included the words "egg and cheese". No orange juice. In summary, worse in some ways than the bag breakfast on Sunday. We walked away with a carton of yogurt before heading to the nearby Bethlehem Diner for the second time for breakfast. My keycard didn't work to open the door of the fitness center; I was told at checkout that I needed to make an arrangement at the front desk to obtain access. This information should have been posted on the fitness center door. Both mornings, somebody had propped open the exterior entrance to Building B from the rear parking lot with a rug overnight, letting cold air in and raising a potential security issue. This place needs to either admit on their website that they don't offer what most people would consider to be "breakfast", or else revamp their current unsatisfactory offerings every day of the week so most people staying at the hotel would consider it to be something other than next to nothing.

I checked in early this evening ( 7/10) finding a seemingly seasoned front desk staff. However, the lady wouldn’t listen to me when I was explaining that we now use a virtual card payment since I am a state/government employee. I didn’t want to argue so I let her charge my personal card first and decided to speak to another manager in the morning. That staff was the only employee on the premises. She asked me if I have a pet because there’s an extra charge for bringing them. I don’t. She handed me a plastic bag of linens since she said that they don’t clean during a stay. I went to the room and the elevator was filthy. I opened my room and it seemed like the person who fixed the room was in a rush. The pillows were on the side table. Beddings are not on par with any standards. I asked to be moved but the lady said that they’re sold out. After dinner, I came back to my room to get my things ready- there’s no iron/board. I called the front desk. I volunteered to pick it up myself- she said that house keeping is not it until 8am and she does not know where the irons/boards are. I needed to be at work by 8:30am so I’ll be showing up with wrinkled clothes. This really pushed me to write this review. I cannot believe that this is being run like this. Bathroom tub is dirty and soaps are not filled… I am definitely checking out tomorrow. This is not a good place to stay. Oh, another thing. They charge parking fees while the parking lot is open to everyone- no gates or any security.

One place to avoid. Apparently Trip Advisor wants 200 word review when one word encapsulates it all: Yucky. They are in great need of a hotel update. I felt like this was a step back to the 80’s , dark decor, limp lighting, musty smell in the room.

This place is is really bad. The common areas are not bad but the two bedroom suite I had was in need of updating and basic maintenance. The doorknob to my bedroom was loose on the door and would not latch when it was closed. The safety latch in the room was broken off. In the room and bathroom there was what appeared to be pink nail polish on the walls in several areas. The furniture needs to be updated. The worst thing though was pervasive smell of Marijauna in the halls and outside. I observed people smoking Marijuana right next to the no smoking sign at the entrances. Cleary the management tolerates this as it was was out in the open and constant smell of it. I have stayed at this property several time when it was a Residence Inn and had a good experience for that level. I am an experienced traveler- over 1000 nights lifetime with Marriott- So I know what I should be expecting. We had 6 families there for a Junior ski race nearby and considered changing hotels.

Our suite was very clean and comfortable, and had everything we could have wanted during our stay. The bed was comfy and linens were plush. Breakfast was delicious and included hot cooked items, along with fruit, cereal and baked goods. The property was quiet and well cared for. There was ample parking and we felt safe and secure at all times. The meeting space was perfect for our family reunion! The staff was extremely courteous and attentive to our every need. We will definitely be back to this property!!

Stayed here for a week. Staff was helpful. Molly at the breakfast buffet was very helpful. Two hotel buildings, three floors each, and and a separate building for reception, breakfast and meetings. There are also two other Marriott properties next door. It is next to the highway so you can expect some traffic noise especially if your room is on that side. Our second floor room had convenient access to a stairwell and outside. We had to put towels at our door to keep out smoke smell, seemed to be coming from a vent in the hallway. Pretty typical Residence Inn, good layout and convenient. Convenient to lots of restaurants. Convenient to airport, Bethlehem and Allentown.
