I've been skiing Mammoth for almost 50 years (scary) and I've had the opportunity to watch Mammoth grow in negative and positive ways. The Village Lodge is a positive. I went mid-week so I went by myself. I took a shuttle (the lodge offers a free shuttle) from the airport. For those without a car staying at the Village is...

Hello Mikezgall, 50 years! That's not scary, that's impressive! We always welcome long time visitors back to the Eastern Sierra, and appreciate your loyalty to both the town and mountain. The Village is definitely in a central location with or without a car, though I am glad to hear you were able to take advantage of our courtesy airport shuttle....

This was the second time we had stayed at The Village Lodge which is a good indication of how much we enjoyed our previous stay. Our one bedroom apartment in Lincoln House had a full kitchen which was well stocked with china and cutlery, with daily refills of coffee, tea, etc and room service for bed making and clean towels...

Hello Beverly K, Thank you for taking the time to post your review! I agree that it can bring a bit of anxiety booking somewhere new, so I'm so glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay, as well as our numerous amenities! The Village Gondola is a great perk during our winter months, providing quick access to Canyon Lodge....

The Village Lodge was a GREAT place to stay. We were in the middle of everything ie: gondala, shops, resturant, bars etc.. Shuttle Service was available through the hotel at zero cost. Maria at the front desk was wonderful. She was very Knowledgeable with the Lodge as well as the village and the rest of Mammoth. She recommended the Gondala...

Hello Michelle R, Thank you for your review! I'm pleased to hear you were able to take advantage of our courtesy shuttle, it's definitely a plus when the weather turns a bit ugly! After a long day on the hill, being able to walk to dinner or happy hour can sometimes make all the difference! I'm glad you were able...

We stayed at the Village Lodge to ski, and these comments relate to the hotel and skiing. We stayed in a one-bedroom unit in the Grand Sierra lodge. The unit itself offered a small kitchen with dishes, a diswasher, a microwave, and full-sized refrigerator. Cooking a full meal might prove challenging, but it is a perfectly nice set-up for putting...

Hello Barbara M, Thank you for your review, though I'm sorry to hear you ran into a few hiccups during your stay. As each unit is individually owned, it is up to the owner to decide which mattresses they would like in their unit. However, we do try and offer feedback to our owners whenever possible about the guest experiences....

Upon a crazy late arrival Maria took outstanding care of our family at The Village Lodge. We had a need for 2 bathrooms but not 2 bedrooms and she was able to accommodate that as well as give our 2 kids their own 2 beds plus an amazing view for the same price! The room was more than perfect! We...

Hello Macfam456, Mammoth is a wonderful getaway, but unfortunately requires a bit of a drive from pretty much anywhere! I'm glad you were able to check into a room that suited your needs, and that Maria was able to get you settled in with a smile. The ability to park your car and leave it is definitely a big perk...

We always stay at The Village Lodge because of the location and overall quality of the lodgings. The Westin across the street is considerably more expensive but nicer. We don't cook in the Village Lodge, but it's nice that there is a full refrig/freezer and kitchen with dining table. Always very clean. There is no A/C so if you have...

Hello SoCalTravelmom, Thank you for your continued loyalty as a long time guest of The Village Lodge! Each condo has a large air conditioning unit that is usually in the closet during wintertime, but can be pulled out and hooked up when requested. Location, location, location....The condos and the common areas are getting a little worn and are do for a refresh. It is pricey but cheaper than the Westin so probably a better deal particularly midweek with a season pass discount. The staff are all great and responded to all our requests with a smile. Proximity to the gondola and the restaurants...

Location, location, location. You pay a premium because you are at the village. Steps away from restaurants and the gondola. It is nice not having to drive or take a shuttle to the slopes.
