The young lady at the desk was lovely...courteous and most helpful. We requested 5th floor and we did get it. Room was clean, quiet and large (2 queens). The breakfast in the morning was perfect as we were heading home early. Will definitely stay here again !

Perfect location, close to some fantastic bars and restaurants. Small hotel, but spacious room, clean and attentive staff. Nice touch having breakfast waiting in the morning. Would choose again for a quick stay.

The entrance of this boutique hotel is a little misleading , but once at the reception desk you feel welcome and at home . Rooms are pretty and complete . Staff is very friendly and helpful. Between 6 & 7 PM they invite you for having a glass ( or 2 ) of wine and meet the other hotel guests...

Very nice and central boutique hotel. My room was large, very clean with plenty of storage and a good sized comfortable bed. There was no safe in the room (advertised that there would be one) and I had a small leak in the bathroom but this was dealt with promptly. Free WiFi was also available and this worked perfectly for...

When we arrived, we were given the luggage trolley and told to have at it. The room was quirky with exposed brick in the bathroom, but smelled of mildew. Even the bed linens felt damp. One of the three front desk personnel could offer valid restaurant suggestions and directions for getting around. The other two sent us to restaurants that...

Lovely, clean, quiet hip boutique hotel. Great service, friendly staff. Very nice room with super comfortable bed. They bring you a continental breakfast to your room each morning and have a wine social each evening. Great location, within walking distance to Liberty Bell and other tourist attractions. Great restaurant nearby.

If you are staying in Philly, I highly recommend this hotel. It is near center city and old city. You can walk anywhere, restaurants, bars all within the vicinity. The hotel does not have a kitchen, so it's not a full service hotel, but they do provide you with continental breakfast! 24 rooms, the staff is friendly, rooms are nice...

Spent a long weekend at the Independent and enjoyed it. We had room 303, the queen loft suite. Quirky is a good summary of the hotel -- this is NOT a generic hotel experience. The good: Location, location, location! Restaurants in every direction. Great location for walking -- even at midnight, plenty of street life. (This is the "Gayborhood" with...

Found the hotel, very low key, parking across the street was better then down the block. Do not pay the guys walking around the parking lots. They don't work there. Checked in, free wine and nuts, free breakfast, nice selection of coffee and tea in the room. Overall, very good for the price.

It's a great retreat in the middle of the city. Wonderful room, every need anticipated and fulfilled. Quiet and peaceful. The staff couldn't be nicer. The building is historic and beautifully restored. I recommend it whole heartedly and look forward to returning.
