This was one of the worst places I ever seen. Horrible service. Sketchy worker that stays there as previous post suggests. Beds are a joke. Very uncomfortable. Not close to anything for the price. There's a lot of hostels in that area that is way better to stay at. I wouldn't recommend this to an enemy.

One of the worst experiences I ever had. Me and my friends stopped over from Australia and wish we never stayed here. It's not even really a bed. Thin mattress like a yoga mat. Dirty. Negative staff. Homeless man that stays that all the hostellers talk about on all social networks. Only hostel you'll go to that you have to...

Pros in general: Gorgeous mansion, super cheap, free parking (though few actual spaces), though a towel charge is listed I was not charged for 1, air conditioned, hot water in showers, free pancakes (that you have to make yourself) & coffee in the mansion kitchen after 8am, free bike loan Cons in general: sketch neighborhood surrounding bus stop & sketchy...

Some staff were very helpful , some may just have been having a bad day when I was there. It was great that you could take bikes out for free and that he price was low. It was inconvenient that they kicked guests out at 11am and you weren't aloud back until 4:30pm. Also there is a curfew of 2am.

the hostel itself is very nice, very quaint and old with a homey feeling to it. My problem is I like being in the city and around bars, restaurants and good nightlife. If you want the same then I wouldn't stay here. If you want a nice peaceful break away from the city then you can go here but if...

I was unsure of this place, since it's tough to get to, way off the beaten track, and so many reviews are written by hostelers without transportation, all complaining about the lack of nearby bus lines. Look - forget all that. This joint is tops - among the best, including great places at which i've stayed in in France, Italy...

My friends and I really enjoyed our stay here! The hostel closes from 11am-4:30pm, but that isn't a problem if you plan on sight-seeing. They had free coffee, tea, and pancake mix every morning. The wifi was free and had a good connection. We had a car, but it would be a bit difficult to stay here if you did...

Of all the hostels I have stayed in, this was by far one of the best. Clean, roomy, wonderful staff and the grand porch was exactly the same as it was over 100 years ago. Also, there was very easy access to downtown Philly. Below, is some of the information from their web page. Snugged right up to the woods,...

First, this hostel is not in the most convenient location for those using public transportation becuz the closest bus stop is still a mile away. If you have a car this makes it much easier. Being a remote location there are no restaurants close by. The treat for those visiting here is the setup in a completely colonial period. Complete...

Stayed here in the fall with a large group of college students. Good stay for the price. Expect a hostel - group bunking, separate baths for men and women. We had lodging with dorm style rooms. Bed are kind of sparse and not too comfortable if you are older. They also provided a kitchen area in the main house for...
