Great hostel that I've recommended to many friends since. Cool group that run the place and a nice group of fellow travellers that are up for a good, social experience. Loved the nightly expeditions to neighbourhood bars... and there certainly were plenty of them! Situated in a really cool neighbourhood that feels like it's taken out right out of a...

Good - clean - good location - great activities (night tours, drinking in the lobby) = great atmosphere - quiet dorm rooms Bad - the male dorm room could use a little more air circulation - expensive for my budget

I decided to try this hostel because it was close to the location of the conference I was attending, a fraction of the cost of the typical hotel, and something different to try. Still, I was nervous, but that disappeared when I walked in. This place is very welcoming, clean, and neat. If you are considering staying here, don't hesitate....

This place was a lovely surprise. I was a bit apprehensive about staying in a 28-bed dorm but it was always really quiet and clean. The beds were very comfy and there was never a queue for the bathroom. The rest of the hostel was really nice too and there was a huge well-equipped kitchen. The hostel organises lots of...

I had to be in Philly for a work conference, but staying at Apple Hostel made the trip so much better - very friendly staff and other guests, fun movie/snack night, pin-drop quiet dorm, and perfect location (close to downtown/historic sites, but tucked back away from noise). If you like hostels, this place is amazing.

Great Hostel. Not a dry hostel like most. The staff are fantastic.Bradley was working most days l was there and he knows his way around Philly and recommended a few lesser know attractions which were amazing such as the magic garden and mutters museum. The nightly events are great for getting to know other people and those in your rooming area,...

Apple Hostel had it all.. Great location, comfortable beds, fantastic (and clean) facilities and friendly staff. We stayed here during our travels of the East Coast and we safely say that it was the best hostel that we encountered. We stayed in the large mixed dorm, but the room was incredibly spacious, and the beds were well kept and comfortable....
