The Windsor Suites elicits a spectrum of opinions, with its central location often lauded for convenience to city attractions. Many guests appreciate the spacious, clean rooms, complete with kitchenettes and comfortable beds, while others cite a need for modernizing furniture and reducing noise disruptions. The rooftop pool is a standout amenity, though some miss a breakfast buffet. While service is generally commended for its friendliness, there are mixed feelings about value, with some facing billing discrepancies. Despite this, the hotel's welcoming atmosphere and tidy spaces do not go unnoticed.

I carefully combed reviews when searching for a hotel for my family of 5 for our first trip to Philly. We were confident that the Windsor would be great, and we were not disappointed! We got two rooms since we have 3 kids, 2 of whom are teenagers. Each room had 2 double beds with balcony, and a week before check-in I received an email offering to upgrade to rooms with a view of Ben Franklin Parkway for a very reasonable price. I'm so glad we did! The views were amazing, and even though it's a pretty busy street, we were not bothered by any noise at night. The staff were also very accommodating of our request to have our rooms on the same floor and close together.

The beds and pillows are comfortable, and one of the most important factors in our hotel comfort - the air conditioning system - worked wonderfully. There were no strange noises from it, no loud cycling on and off, and no malfunctioning.

Beekman Fresh Air bath products were a nice surprise that I did not expect. The rooms had a full size refrigerator, lots of counter space, and larger than normal square footage.

The two restaurants in the hotel exceeded my expectations. We ordered room service from Con's Irish Pub twice, and both times the food arrive in under 20 min and was hot and plentiful. The chicken strips were actually huge gourmet pieces almost the size of a regular chicken breast, and with the most delicious dry rub, served with two gourmet sauces. We also dined at Asia on the Parkway one evening, and it was some of the tastiest Asian food I have had in awhile. Huge portions, reasonable prices, fast friendly service, and the food high quality and served hot.

This hotel lacks a breakfast buffet, one thing that we typically look for in a hotel. But we knew this beforehand so were able to plan accordingly. There are several places close by for breakfast, including a Trader Joe's if you want to get groceries and eat in your room. Federal Donuts was within easy walking distance for breakfast. They have AMAZING unique flavors of donuts, and while we don't normally eat donuts for breakfast, it was a nice treat. They also have fried chicken sandwiches which my teenage son enjoyed.

Due to the temps in the 80s with high humidity, we knew we wouldn't want to walk too far to get to all the historical sites, so we mostly Ubered everywhere, which worked well for us. We had planned to buy tickets for the Philly Phlash bus, but just ended up doing Uber. If it had been cooler out we probably would've walked to more places, but we don't enjoy being outside when it's that hot.

Oh, and the rooftop pool was great. My kids swam every night, and there was plenty of comfortable seating for the adults and amazing views.

I'd definitely stay here again!

Our first time here after many visits staying in other Philadelphia hotels.

Thumbs up. It is very close to The Barnes and The Rodin museums. It is very security-conscious…a guard in the lobby and the need to use your room key to enter the building even at 7 pm.

Our room was enormous. It had a king bed, giant closet, and apartment-size kitchen. The coffee K cups supplied, La Colombo Nizza, were great. I would tweak the bathroom a bit to include grab bars and a handheld shower. The supply of towels and the quality of toiletries was also good. It was silent at night: we heard nothing!

The view from the rooftop pool was divine. It closes Labor Day for the season. I would have loved a slightly bigger and slightly warmer pool, but I still enjoyed doing las.

The prices here are attractively reasonable.

We used Lyft at least once and drivers stopped right in front. Distances are short in Philadelphia so prices were single digit. If you want to walk here from 30 th St. station, you can. Or there is a cab line at the 29th St. side of the station and prices were single digit, too.

We stayed two nights at the Windsor suites and it did not disappoint. On arrival we were given two drinks vouchers to the value of $13 each to spend in the Irish bar next to the hotel. The studio room was so spacious with a huge bed, work space & chair, dining table, small kitchenette with refrigerator and freezer, gas hob, microwave, sink, coffee machine, functional bathroom and loads of storage space. There was also access to an ice machine a few floors up and a laundry- washers and dryers. Would certainly recommend to others if they were visiting Philadelphia. Good location, not too far to walk to the Rocky steps or to Liberty bell.

During my recent stay at The Windsor Suites, I was warmly welcomed by Edwin at the front desk. Despite being new, he was exceptionally nice and polite, making sure I felt right at home. Edwin did a commendable job with the check-in process, managing it with ease and professionalism, and subtly reminded me that he was still learning. His dedication and eagerness to ensure a smooth experience didn't go unnoticed.

The hotel itself is stunning, combining elegance with a comfortable ambiance. Every corner of The Windsor Suites speaks of luxury and attention to detail, contributing to a memorable stay. I am already looking forward to my next visit. With staff like Edwin and the beautiful surroundings, it's a place I would highly recommend to anyone.

Positives - great location, room is very spacious and comfortable, deposit refunded immediately on check out. Room and hotel were clean.

Not so pleasant experience -
housekeeping policy was hazy. The guest information said that housekeeping is for persons staying more than 3 nights and by appointment.
It is essential that I have housekeeping while on vacation - little touches like a clean bathroom and nicely made bed goes a long way in making my vacation enjoyable.
I called to schedule housekeeping as I was staying 4 nights. I was told that I do not need to schedule it as the housekeeper will come. She came and asked if we needed fresh towels or gabage to be emptied. That's it. At no time were my sheets changed or the bathroom cleaned or the carpet vacuumed.
The housekeeping policy should be clear and stated in the information about the services so that guests could be made aware before booking.

I choose this hotel partly because it had a kitchen. I have dietary restrictions and need kitchen facilities. The kitchen had some crockery, some cutlery, a saucepan, a frying pan and a spatula. That was it. There was no knife, cutting board, strainer, grater etc. I called for these to be provided but quite unapologetically I was told that some of these items are not available. The kitchen was not well equipped and the hotel should say so on it's website and information sheets.

We stayed here for a few nights and it served its purpose on a city break. It was in a good location.

The room was very spacious and the beds were comfy. The TV was in a good location too. The kitchenette area was pleasantly surprising with a good fridge and freezer. It also had a gas stove too. Nice touches were added such as bottles of water and washing up liquid on arrival.

The lifts were quick and easy so never really hanging around.

Tea and coffee available in reception in the morning which was nice.

I would say the room was slightly dated. The main issue we had was with the shower. It seemed to have two temperatures - boiling hot or scalding hot. This could have been user error, but shouldn’t be that hard to have a reasonable shower. I did report to hotel on the exit survey.

We reserved a One Bedroom Suite Two Double room. Upon arrival we checked in and went to the assigned room and were greeted with another guest in the bed that was already staying in the room. We went to the front desk and they said that the guest was supposed to go to a different room, but went to ours instead. The front desk could not explain why the keys worked for the wrong room and why the other guest was in there. They then booked us in another room which was not a One Bedroom Suite Two Double room we reserved, it was a small studio without a separate bedroom. We specifically chose the bedroom option with the living room to have a separate space for our toddler to comfortably sleep.

On top of all of this, we had requested a crib to be put in our room in advance and they ensured us it would be taken care of upon check in. Since there was a random man in the original room they gave us, we had to work the crib situation out in the midst of all the chaos.

Also, we were unable to park in the hotel garage due to an enormous backup with the parking staff there. We had to go to another garage blocks away. Upon checking out at the hotel we were told that a parking fee was added to our bill. The staff member said it would be removed, but turns out they just ended up double charging us for the original room rate.

I followed up with the hotel manager directly and was offered a full refund, however, the hotel manager is claiming that a different credit card than the one I booked the room with is showing as being on file and that the reservation came from a third party. This isn’t the case as we booked directly through the hotel’s website and I sent over the credit card statement showing the card number and double charges that are showing under Windsor Suites.

The hotel manager has stopped responding to my messages and I have yet to see a refund. Last contact made was 10 days ago and it was just the hotel manager basically telling me I was wrong about how I made the reservation and what card it was under. I forwarded the reservation confirmation I directly received from the hotel as well. I’m convinced they mixed up reservations and someone else’s information is showing under my booking for some reason. It’s been such a frustrating experience and I would never recommend this place to anyone. I just want my money back and to never have to deal with this place ever again.

We had a wonderful stay at the Windsor Suites! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the entire experience feel seamless from start to finish. The room was spotless and comfortable, and check-in and check-out were both quick and easy. I also really enjoyed the local indoor bar, where Michelle, the bartender, was fantastic—so friendly and attentive. The Thai restaurant on-site was a pleasant surprise too! They were very accommodating and offered delicious food at a very reasonable price. Overall, I had a great time with my partner, and will definitely be back! Highly recommend (and a beautiful view of a beautiful city).

After reading many good and bad reviews...
My partner and I arrived several hours before check in and left the bags at the hotel without any inconvenience or charge.
An hour before check in I was called to advise that the room was available.
The room was very spacious and comfortable, with equipped kitchen, refrigerator, coffee maker and so on.
The bathroom had towels up to make up, hairdryer, hand soap and moisturizer for them, plus shampoo and hair cream. The only thing I can confirm from comments I have read is the temperature of the shower water. It may get hotter than desired but for our case it was no problem.
We were located on the 14th floor and the view of it towards the city was beautiful!
The receptionists and trunk served us very well.
One more detail, a few meters away there are three places to dine and one for breakfast as well.
We had the best experiences in Philadelphia thanks to the location of the hotel and its comfort.
If we had the opportunity to return to the city we would definitely choose the same hotel.
