We stayed here for the Philadelphia Marathon. He pictures made it look like a cozy little B&B. Unfortunately it wasn't what we expected. You're basically renting a room in someone's house. A nice older lady runs the place. She will give you a lengthy run down of every aspect of the property when you check in down to a 10...

I stayed for one night before an interview at Temple. Not only was it the best deal in the area, the owner was great, friendly and she helped me plan my trip route/times the next day. The breakfast was promptly at 8 and was a spread of breads, cereals, fruits and spreads to be reckoned with! I wish I could...

First of all, Burbridge street is a one block long, tree lined, quiet street layered in brick. The stone duplex is dressed in grey stone and trimmed in a white wooden porch and surrounded by historic homes occupied by the warmest neighbors. The lady of the house, Ms. Marney Hague, is a wonderful hostess and her eight o'clock continental breakfast...

We stayed at the Burbridge street b&b for 2 days while apartment-hunting and the home is beautiful with a lot of interesting portraits and elegant decorations. The house is an old Victorian and very unique in its beauty; we'd never seen a home like that before. We really enjoyed the breakfast conversation with Marnie and the other travelers, who were...

My spouse and I stayed here for a few nights to save a bit of money site-seeing in Philly. We love old historic homes and like the experience of living local. Marney was very friendly when we arrived and very helpful with suggestions for places to eat and taking the train to the city. The location was perfect for that....

I had a very nice stay at the burbridge street b&b. Easy check-in. Marney is very friendly and a great hostess! The bed was comfortable and clean. The WLAN worked well. The room was also clean. I loved the breakfast at 8AM. There are many different types of bread. The neighborhood was quiet and the SEPTA station is close too.

Submitted by Susan Cooper Our room was cozy, comfortable and decorated appropriately to the period. Transportation was easy with the SEPTA train from the center of town. Marnie, the Innkeeper, is a host with warmth, friendliness and an incredible amount of knowledge of Philly. My favorite time of day was sharing her delicious, healthy breakfasts with her so I could...

I spent a week visiting the Philly sights, and Marney was terrific with her suggestions -- great knowledge and love of the city, as well as how to get around easily. The room was perfect, clean and comfy with great night sleeps. Marney put a lot of effort into the breakfasts -- picture perfect cut up fruit, as well as...

My daughter and I had to fly into Philly to go to Children's Hospital for an emergency surgery for my 3 year old daughter. My insurance booked the B&B and when I arrived Marney told me she didn't usually allow kids under 13 but allowed us to stay. My daughter had a very hard time with surgery and I needed...
