I read pages of the reviews before still deciding to book this hotel. It's low cost and its amazing location I thought would be enough to make me overlook the posted issues. Plus, I've traveled in Europe before, where small, old walk-up buildings are de rigeur. I just needed a bed. Let me start off by saying that I did...

Hey everybody, the reviews I read of this hotel weren't the best in the world when I booked the room in Philadelphia but it was in south Philly, where you can visit all the historical places and you're just one walk away from the shopping area and the City Hall - Business center, which is great. The check-in was good...

The bathroom has molds all over. The toilet bowl moved and sewage smell eminates from it at night. Roaches all over. You're afraid to take a shower because of molds on the tiles and curtains. We took pictures and will send it to City health department. That hotel.is a big joke. It's a dump!

This place should not even be accepting reservations let alone $$ for people staying there. Small, smelly, dark, disgusting, dirty. The 'continental breakfast' that was supposed to be included was pre-packaged cake, and there was never any there (I only saw the package). The coffee was who - knows how old, and guests were instructed to flip on the switch to...

Firstly I am giving this dump one star to start my review as no stars isn't an option but it deserves a minus rating to be honest. NO idea where the pictures of this "hotel" originate from - certainly wasn't the hovel where I stayed. The boutique style trendy hotel and spacious rooms shown is not this one. On arrival...

The pictures of this hotel on booking.com are not what you get when your there. I didn't even want to sleep in the bed and I wore thongs in the shower so I didn't pick up tinea. This would have to be one of the most disappointing hotels I have ever stayed in and I was up and out of...

This place is ancient. Bed sheets are clean , and that's about it. Furniture n carpet are stained . Staff are really nice and the location rocks . Free water bottles. Don't stay here if you don't do stairs well. Not worth $160/ night though!

You have to be up for an adventure and preferably traveling solo to stay in this hotel. It is very old, no elevator with 4 flights of steps with a landing in between each flight. The managers are very nice and one took my heavy 35 lb. suitcase to the fourth floor. He also gave me free juice or soda...

I personally loved this hotel. With the fact that the after hours check-in was from a bartender and that John (the manager) was nothing but nice. It was old, yes. But that is where some of the charm came from. It was right in Old City blocks away from Penn's Landing, the Constitution Centre, the Liberty Bell and Ben Franklin's...

I do have to say that the owner was very accomidating to the changes I needed make with my reservation prior to my arrival. However, I was disappointed to see that prior reviews were correct. I could not stay the 2 nights I had paid for. I left after 1 night because of the condition of the hotel overall and...
