Nestled in the heart of Philadelphia, The Warwick Hotel Rittenhouse Square stands out for its inviting historic charm and prime location, a hit with guests eager to explore nearby shops, restaurants, and historic sites. Though the hotel's atmosphere and cleanliness receive compliments, opinions on service and room quality are mixed. Some guests praise the staff's helpfulness, while others experience subpar service and maintenance issues. Amenities often fall short of expectations, and several travelers question the hotel's value, citing additional costs and the need for room renovations.

The Warwick was a very nice hotel and the room was decent aside from the toliets that would run for hours. I stayed there last night and am exahusted because we were woken up at 1AM by a constant beeping in the electrical closet across the hall from our room. The power was out and we heard other guests in the hall using the phone across the elevator to call the front desk since obviously the room phone was out. I called the front desk numerous times from my cell phone but no one would pick up. The continuous beeping kept us up so my boyfriend had to take the steps down to the front desk. They simply handed him a letter and said "oh, you didn't get the notice?" Apparently the electric was being shut off from 1-4AM. That wouldn't have been an issue since it was the middle of the night but the electrical closet was right across from our room which contained the beeping noise. He was told there was nothing that could be done about the beeping and given the letter and glow sticks and sent away. We were both not happy how this was handled. After a long day touring the city, one would want a night free of disruptions!
The staff was friendly from the car attendants to the bell hops for directions to the cleaning lady. The best part of the hotel is the location. Water bottles in the room was also a plus. The toliet is extremely loud and runs for awhile; we could hear toliets running constantly which was irritating.
We went for a drink at The Prime Rib. It was an extremely depressing, dark, quiet, morgue-like atmosphere; we couldn't finish our wine quick enough.
Overall the hotel was nice itself, but we can't believe the night we were put through then received poor customer service from the front desk on top of it all. I wish the situation was handled better so I could give the Warwick another star.

We spent 3 nights here. Hotel has a great location right in the middle of Center City. Bert and Steve the doorman were friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. Vy at the front desk was welcoming and helpful. The self parking is still valley you just drive to the garage I’m the alley next to the hotel. The drivers were friendly and prompt. The lady working the desk was usually sleeping and quite rude. A little over a week before our vacation I called to see if I could extend our stay longer. Left multiple messages for the reservation person and never received a call back. I paid for a suite and upon checking in wasn’t put in a suite. I was told one wasn’t available until the next day but they would give me 35% off the first night and move me the next day. I agreed this was fine and was moved to a suite the next day around 4pm however I was never given the 35% off. We ordered room service for breakfast for 4. The pancakes were ok however the Eggs Benedict was over cooked, cold, and the English muffin was rock hard. The hot chocolate and juice was good don’t recommend the coffee. For $88 I would recommend breakfast elsewhere. The bathroom soaps and lotions are pleasant. The towels not so much. The bed linens are ok and if you like a firm bed those were ok also ( I prefer a softer mattress) The room was clean and fresh linens were provided daily. Our stay was quiet. We checked out after the 3rd night and went to another hotel because I had to make other arrangements due to the reservation person never returning my call. I would probably stay someplace else on our next visit based on the fact that I paid for a room that I didn’t receive and wasn’t compensated for it despite their promise. For the money you spend here I would expect to at a minimum be given what you pay for.

Stayed for just one evening on May 11 2021. The parking garage was a nightmare, not a great start. They require you hand them the keys and they move your car. Well, that would be lovely if the workers could drive a standard. We heard the most awful noises as my husband BEGGED the attendant to please allow him to move his own car and they brushed us off.

We stayed with our elderly chihuahua, I am very thankful when hotels allow dogs- they are often cleaner than most children. I was aware of the $75 charge for this and that is fine. When I got into my room it REEKED of cigarettes. I still had my mask on and it was disgusting through the mask. So, I pay $75 for my dog who did nothing to mess up the room but you allow smoking? Gross. To their credit I went down immediately and said I would like another room and we did get one. The thing that nags at me is that I did not ask for a smoking room and we are in a pandemic- there could not have been so many guests that they had to put me there.

The furniture was scratched and worn, there were stains on the carpet and it was all around dated but the proximity to Rittenhouse park was worth it for a dog owner. Overall I would say if you have a dog it is a good choice- find a different garage if you drive a standard.

This was our first time staying at Hotel Warwick. To begin, if you do not know the Rittenhouse Square area of Philadelphia is arguably the nicest part of the city. The hotel is situated one block over from Rittenhouse Square. The hotel has a very old fashion feel with modern amenities, with one of the most professional staff for a hotel at this price level. I would like to give a specific shout out to Steve in the front who helped with bags directions checking in and checking out. I also found Khalid very knowledgeable and professional when he offered to hold our bags after we had checked out. We really liked the breakfast place connected to the entrance. Coffee was imported from Australia! We will definitely be back!

Check in was excellent- needed 2 adjoining rooms , both were available for early check-in. Rooms were reasonably priced, were clean and fresh, and included club floor benefit. In each room were coffeemakers, refrigerators, and safes. Plenty of closet space with hangers, iron and ironing boards, large screen modern TV sets, night stands on both sides of the comfortable King beds. easy to adjust thermostats that worked efficiently. Bathroom was clean and stocked with amenities, no issues with plumbing.
Bell staff and doorman were courteous, and assisted us with our elderly guest in the second room. We enjoyed an excellent dinner in the hotel restaurant, Prime, the wait staff was professional, helpful, and attentive, and the food was well prepared and delicious. Check out was quick, no issues with the charges. The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance to restaurants and shops.

I stayed here some years ago and Rittenhouse is one of my favorite areas in the city, since I recently gave up my condo in the city, I've been frequenting hotels in the city and we decided to give the Warwick a shot. Because of its historic reputation I was looking forward to our stay and to say we were let down would be an understatement. Staff treated us dry at best, before we even walked in. Once we made our way to the room, common areas on our floor did not look clean. Walking into the room there were multiple things broken/not working properly and it did not look/feel clean. Luggage rack was broken, one of the lamps looked broken, phone did not work properly, the shower wouldn't work unless the faucet was running making it feel like the shower was backed up, the toilet would sometimes run 15-20 min after you'd flush, the make up mirror was almost falling off of the bracket, the air conditioner would only run for short periods of time then shut off regardless of the settings, and the iron ruined one of my shirts. In terms of cleanliness, many surfaces felt sticky or you could see drink rings on many surfaces, there were stains throughout the floor and surface area of the room and bathroom, there was something spilled/splattered over the bathroom door, the sink and toilet were dirty, the ledge on the bathroom looked filthy and we found trash in one of the drawers. We originally were given two adult towels and ONE hand towel. We called the front desk within 30 min of check in and the response was "talk to the manager when you check out". Regardless of whatever your reasoning is for staying at a hotel, you should not encounter these issues at a hotel that boasts the accommodations and amenities that the Warwick suggests it offers. I've attached some pictures for reference. It's a shame that this hotel no longer proceeds its reputation.

There is no valet parking however the garage is behind the hotel. Once you are parked if you walk in the main entrance the lobby is very pretty and clean. We were in a "suite" which had two full beds and a sofa. The check in was easy and the staff very nice. The room was pretty bad considering the price tag, I had treated my friends to the room and frankly I was embarrassed. There was a weird smell the furniture was worn and the Toilet leaked every time we flushed it. We did report the leak and we believe it was checked out but it was not fixed. We had stayed in a similar room less than 4 years ago and it was very very nice. The location is great for walking and the coffee at the coffee shop also very good. We stored our luggage at check out the person that handled them was super. Paying for parking was a little bit of a drag as it seemed we were annoying to the last desk person. It is a shame as this is a historical hotel in need of investment!

We found this hotel through Southwest Airlines when we booked a trip to see family. It is strategically located next to Rittenhouse Square and many great shops and restaurants. They do have parking for $48 per day overnight and the staff there as well as the doormen were very cordial and professional. The front desk was less kind. We checked into two rooms and she did not activate one set of cards for entry. When we asked for a key that would work, she intimated it was our fault. Next the rooms we were given were dated with little furniture in one room. Both overlooked the roofs of other buildings. One room viewed a burned-out apartment building from the recent Black Lives Matter riots in the city. With few guests in the hotel, we were surprised they would choose this ghastly view for us. We often feel hotels penalize us when we use other vendors such as Southwest Airlines and do not book directly with them. Just a feeling I get each time. I've done both and pay attention to how I am treated. The floor needed cleaning and there were burn holes in the carpet. We were not given any service for three days. One room smelled of cigarette smoke. The issues were minor yet they were noticeable. I personally will not stay there again. The price for downtown though was very cost effective.

The hotel is in a prime location, just around the corner from Rittenhouse Square and about a 20 minute walk to Independence Hall. The room was clean and nice, and staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. We checked in 2 hours early without a fee and they were able to gift us a few toiletries we forgot to bring with us.
