We stayed in the Pear Tree Suite and it was perfect. The room was clean, spacious and beautiful. The Innkeepers and staff are welcoming and knowledgeable and make you feel at home. The building itself is historic and beautiful. Brian's breakfasts and Joan's pastries are delicious! The location is perfect...right in the heart of town. We hope to come back...

We recently spent the day in historic Gettysburg, PA, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Brafferton Inn. It is one of the oldest buildings in town, and truly exudes 19th Century charm. It is currently owned by a family that strives to make your experience a positive one. There is free parking for the guests, and the owners provide...

Outstanding! Joan and Brian have hospitality down to an art. We stayed in the Codori suite, which is fantastic. All of the historic charm and ambiance are preserved but with beautiful, modern amenities. The breakfasts are sumptuous and you have 4 or 5 choices! The outside gardens are so peaceful you forget you are in the center of Gettysburg. The...

The inn is in a building surviving from the Civil war. It also has rooms in an adjoining building. These are also excellent. The host is welcoming and knowledgable of the area. The breakfast is excellent with a typical choice among three scrambles, a special and a pancake or french toast. There are homemade muffins each day. Coffee and juice are...

The owners, Joan and her son, Brian, have done a terrific job with this property. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Breakfasts are delicious! A new menu is offered each morning of your stay and cooked to order. The location is in the heart of downtown with close proximity to the National Park. Be aware there is no free on...

Our complete family of ten (ages 10-80) recently spent 3 nights. All 10 of us raved about the quality of the accommodation, the friendliness of the two innkeepers and the delightful (and quite filling) breakfast. Most important of all both Brian and Joan, on several occasions, truly extended themselves to meet personal requests from our group. They are truly dedicated...

Upon arrival you are given a tour of the inn which was very helpful. Staff was friendly, room was very clean. Downtown location was perfect to walk to shops and restaurants. Two course breakfast was delicious. We will stay here again.

This was our fourth time at the Brafferton. We had a wonderful time! Brian and his mom, Joan, go out of their way each time to make us comfortable. Love the room (we choose the Loft--family tradition), love the style of the buildings and the beautiful garden area, and love the breakfasts and sitting room coffee/tea. No complaints in any...

But beware all you late nighters..quite time..aka solitary confinement begins at 10pm..the walls are paper thin as well..we snuck out to go to the 24 hr diner and apparently woke another couple up..I couldn't resist a late night grilled cheese...in turn I...

Thank you for your review! We had a great time meeting you and getting to know you. Glad you enjoyed your room, and our home cooked breakfast. Sorry about the late night requirements. In our bed and breakfast, we need to take care of all of our guests, and when a room complained that they were kept awake between 2am-5am,...

“If you book the Eisenhower Room just be prepared to climb up two flights of stairs with your luggage because it is located on the top floor and not connected to the main entrance. We didn't mind this and the room was very quiet.”

“This was our first time at a bed and breakfast and what an amazing experience it was for both of us. I am an extremely picky eater and the menu often left me unfulfilled and hungry. All-in-all, beautiful home with great staff. The bathrooms in the suites are modern and up to date. Enjoyed being in old downtown Gettysburg. Looking forward to our next visit. It's not every day that you get to sleep in a home that was built not long after America's War For Independence. The suite has DIRECTV and two separate full bathrooms. Additionally, there is a pull out sleeper sofa in the sitting room.”
