Room was terribly cold. No heat. Was told the cooling system wasn't turned off. It was 38 degrees outside. Also told the system is controlled by an eco system and the heat comes on when it gets cold. Don't know how much colder it needs to get.

Was driving through and needed a place to stay the night, I had stayed at Gateway Inn a couple of times before so headed there. I tried calling first, but couldn't get through. Finally arrived and was informed that they are no longer taking leisure travel reservations for the reminder of 2016. Bummer, good thing was the Navy Lodge had...

We had Queen beds and a quiet nights sleep. The staff were extremely friendly but a bit over extended with a few ships that just departed that morning. A safe walking environment with lots to see and level. It seemed like we had miles of uncluttered beach and paths to explore all the way from the Coast Guard Base at...

I was unaware that the only size bed was a double which is too small for most people to sleep comfortably. It is only a problem if you use the pet friendly room. My wife/I work out daily and are relatively small people (5'8"/ 5' 4") I never thought to ask as I saw they had different sized accomodations for the...

I was in Jax to see my son return from deployment. Mayport beach is a 2 minute walk from the hotel and it is a clean beach. Nice little place. The staff was very friendly even under pressure of a bunch of sailors coming in from deployment. Rooms were clean just a little run down. I would stay here again.

Love the location, closeness to the beach, and the room configurations. The family suite, has 2 bedrooms each with private baths, and a small kitchenette and living area. The staff was hit or miss on how helpful or knowledgeable they were. The common area leaves a lot to be desired but hopefully will get overhauled during the current renovations. Wish...

We were invited to attend a ceremony at NAS JAX, and our host arranged our accommodations. We stayed a very clean and comfortable suite that was outfitted with a refrigerator, microwave, and two televisions. The front desk was exceptionally helpful and friendly and the maid service was quite well done.

If you have a military ID and are visiting Jacksonville, FL this is a very nice, safe place to stay. It is located on the water, our room had great views. Our room was clean and well furnished, although the couch could have been more comfortable. Recent reviews complained it was dirty, had bugs, non working wi-fi, nowhere to eat,...

The rooms are just converted barracks and that's all they are. The staff is excellent and friendly. If you don't mind having the convince of absolutely no place to eat and having to travel to the nearest town for a meal. Or do not care about the quality of the room you might have to walk up to then this...

Nothing fancy, WiFi was broken but clean and inexpensive. Depending on the room and building you get it can be farther from the beach than some. Friendly staff. Look at the Navy Lodge too. Golf course nearby.
