Visted Astoria in early September- Love the town and stayed at this wonderful hotel! Only disapointment I had was that I forgot my swim trunks and couldn't swim in their 24 hour pool! Honestly, I typically stay on one hotel only in Astoria, but it was being renovated while I was in town, so I chose this Comfort Suites for this trip. It was actually a great place to stay, and my daughter and I enjoyed ourselves greatly. We had a large and very clean room which overlooked the Columbia River. We were happy to discover that we could hear the sea lions when we opened the window (they hang out off a pier going out into the river). We didn't use many of the amenities of the hotel itself. However, it sits right on a walking/bike path that runs the length of Astoria. As we're both big walkers, we enjoyed walking into town to shop, have a drink, and then have a later dinner. People were friendly and we had a great time walking along the river. I'd stay here again, as it ended up being a really cool and clean hotel.…

Had an unfortunate family emergency, made reservation through Priceline, no refund given when we couldn’t stay. 445$ wasted and they got to sell the room again. Horrible customer service. Will never do business with either company again.

We booked this hotel through Hotwire and were pleased with the cleanliness of the building. They had a nice continental breakfast in the morning with waffles and cereal. The lady at the front desk was very helpful in guiding us through the different things in the area to see!

Still one of my fave hotels in one of my fave Oregon cities! Great location - close enough to catch the summer trolley to the tourist spots or walk down to fabulous Pier 39, but still far enough away to be quiet and calm with excellent views of all the Columbia River activity from almost all the rooms. For my repeat stay here in July 2023, I got a 2 queen suite with a “partial view” on the 2nd floor but the view was still excellent. There are some trees growing up but you can still see large open areas of the river and even the main bridge that’s so picturesque. Oftentimes you can see and definitely hear all the seals on the nearby pier, but they aren’t around in the summer. My room was clean and well stocked with lots of counter space and a separate seating area behind a half wall with couch and desk. The shower has decent water pressure and several settings on the shower head - water gets hot fast. They have a fridge, microwave, and small coffee maker. It’s not a Keurig and the in-room coffee isn’t that great but the coffee available downstairs is better. They offer hot breakfast daily but I didn’t care for it (the only reason for my 4 star rating and not 5). The rubbery eggs and meats don’t seem “natural” - like rehydrated or super frozen or something - I dunno how to describe it. Even the boiled eggs were gross - they were sweet - so I didn’t eat any more of them. And the breakfast room gets really busy, chaotic & packed. But here’s a PRO TIP: this hotel is within walking distance of one of the BEST coffee shops I’ve ever visited - Coffee Girl on Pier 39 - highly recommend just grabbing coffee and even breakfast there - it’s all awesome! Staff here are SO friendly and helpful…all of them! They have an indoor pool that’s very popular and clean. In the summer, a cute little trolley car runs during the day along the tracks out behind the hotel and one of its stops is right there. Many of the tourist spots are within walking distance as well even though it’s further down from the main tourist area - which I prefer bc it’s quieter. They have more than enough parking in their private lot. And the big Safeway grocery store is right next door - you can walk over - so convenient! This is definitely my go-to hotel anytime I visit Astoria.…

We stayed as a family of 4. I'm surprised to hear people complain about the sea lions, because even with a room on the water side, we couldn't hear them at all with the windows closed. Beds were really comfortable and the breakfast was nice. Pool was so cold no kids would swim in it while we stayed, which was a big bummer. Hot tub was nice though. Location is great. We walked on the path several times. We'd definitely recommend it.

We apologize for the pool's temperature and will check that it is where it should be. The maker of the chemicals recommends the pool be kept at 84 degrees for the chemicals to work optimally. This is an amazing Comfort Inn! It appears somewhat new! It has a pool, and hot tub. The beds are very comfortable! The towels are fluffy and new. And for breakfast they had CHOBANI GREEK YOGURT! They had premade oatmeal, not the packaged kind! Eggs, sausage, waffles, all the regular stuff, too! Best of all, a waterfront view and full audio of the sea lions basking on the docks! The windows aren’t locked so you can breathe the coastal breeze! Perfect!

Stayed 2 nights in a 3rd floor suite (315), and we had a super time. The room smelled good. If you have ever stayed is a room that smelled bad, you will understand this praise. Clean and roomy. The breakfast that we had on site, twice, was great. The employee that took care of the dining room did a great job of making us feel welcome. She had everything you need after such a restful night. Even the sealions were singing. Had to open the window a little to hear them. We will be back again for sure.

We came to Astoria and stayed at this hotel for the first time ! I can’t say enough about the whole experience . From walking through the front door right up until leaving . Such friendly service , spotlessly clean hotel . Our rooms were great , the beds and pillows were super comfy ! The pool and hot tub were available to us 24 hours ! Great set up there . Our morning breakfast was great variety and good food . Very clean and organized ! The front lobby was set up so nice and welcoming ! It’s clear to see the management quality here is top notch . 👍Absolutely loved our stay and look forward to coming back again . We would recommend this hotel to all !
