My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the CPH while visiting friends in Astoria, Oregon. This fine hotel is located on the water at the mouth of the Columbia River and offers stunning vistas of the river, its wildlife and fascinating maritime traffic. We awoke one morning to witness a river pilot navigating a large freighter...

Couldn't say enough about this hotel to give full credit to its friendly staff, nicely designed lobby and rooms, and a view from the rooms that was right down on the water. We enjoyed the occasional river traffic and the sound of the wind and river, though I can imagine that it would be quite an interesting stay during a...

We visited this hotel several years right after my mom passed away for only one night. I took their post card and hung it up at work. I always said I want to go back. So this trip the hotel was our destination. We planned the entire trip around it. From the time you make the reservation until you check...

From the moment I entered this spectacular property, I felt at home (or maybe I just wanted it to BE my home).... the paint colors are warm and inviting, and the same goes for the furnishings. Wonderful evenings can be spent in the lobby, sipping wine and sampling gourmet snacks, while looking out at the mysterious Columbia River, feeling cozy...

I love this hotel, and sometimes go to Astoria just to stay there for a day or two. The unique property is built on a pier that juts 600 feet into the Columbia River; in fact, it was a working cannery. The interior was decorated by local artist Sarah Goodnough, and is done in a wonderful, warm yet very modern...

The hotel itself is a beautiful piece of architecture, masterfully reclaimed into a lovely hotel. I would highly recommend it to anyone! The views are simply breathtaking! The Astoria Bridge is so close and incredible; you can watch the boats coming in and out... Astoria is gorgeous and the Cannery Pier Hotel is perfectly situated to take full advantage of...

This hotel is at the entrance to the Columbia River with great views of the boats entering the river. They have a good brunch breakfast to get you started. They have old classic cars for transportation around Astoria. The Bridgewater Bistro is located nearby and provides excellent food. The trolley is a short walk away and provides a great way...

We went for relaxation and we got it. The room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed watching the ships sailing by the windows. Be sure to ask for the ship schedule at the front desk. It will let you know when the ships are supposed to pass the hotel. The breakfast had a variety of items to choose from. The...

Since my husband and I had never been to Oregon and wanted to see the coastline, we started half way up and traveled north to Astoria. I had seen and booked the Cannery Pier Hotel based on reviews I read on Tripadvisor and wasn't disappointed. Arriving, you drive across the bridge to the hotel, which is out on the water...

Stayed for one night. What a wonderful hotel. Check-in was easy with a very helpful front desk clerk (don't know her name). Room was very nice with an amazing soaking tub and bathroom. There was a balcony overlooking the river where you could watch the Astoria bridge and boats. There was wine and snacks at 5:00, cooking at 8:00 and...
